Helloooo darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you the latest from the most fabulous fashion-filled travels. Today, we're shimmying our way through Sutton! Yes, Sutton! This little town in Surrey, tucked away in the South East of England, is brimming with sparkle, and trust me, you won't believe how perfectly pink it is!
My trip started with a very exciting journey – a magical train ride right through the English countryside. I must admit, I was absolutely thrilled with my choice of travel this time, rocking a gorgeous bright pink tutu paired with a vintage-style bolero, a bright coral headband, and of course, my signature glitter heels. Who needs a plane, when you can have an amazing train ride that is just as glamorous?
The Glam-a-rama in Sutton
Upon arriving at the station, my jaw nearly dropped. Sutton turned out to be a pink lover's dream! A riot of flowers, vibrant shopfronts, and yes, even the station itself had a touch of delicate pink! I knew straight away that I had to visit 'The Pink Boutique' – a must-visit spot for any discerning pink-tutu-loving individual. It was truly a wonderland of colour!
As you can imagine, a fabulous tutu and a beautiful floral frock made it straight into my luggage – for when a girl is in a fabulous town like Sutton, it's only proper to make sure you have something to remember the experience! I may even give one of the pink dresses a spin in the local theatre - perhaps a cheeky waltz under the Sutton spotlight? I have an intuition we’ll see each other again, Sutton, you know. I shall leave the magic to unfold when I visit again.
Pink, Tutu, and Everything In-Between
Speaking of dance, the town also boasts a rather fabulous ballet studio – the Sutton School of Ballet, where they’ve recently added some lovely shades of pink in their classroom décor, and believe you me, I gave them some ideas!
After taking in the graceful ballet students, I thought, "What better way to embrace Sutton than a trip to their charming theatre?" It was a charming little space and there was a rather fabulous ballet show. I know, it really was like the universe was guiding me toward my most favourite things - a combination of pink and ballet – perfection! It had the entire theatre humming with excitement – and guess what? I even caught a few little tutus sprinkled around the crowd!
Oh, darling! Speaking of tutus... remember when I told you that Sutton seemed to embrace everything pink? They did it so beautifully. It’s hard not to think about that wonderful, bright pink flower that my new floral frock resembled - so elegant and graceful. It reminded me of something so simple, but so lovely. The same kind of beauty that I see every day when I put on my favourite tutu. It truly reminds me that pink isn't just a colour. It's an emotion! A vibe! An entire fashion philosophy - something we should embrace and celebrate everywhere! I see so many other fashion followers who aren’t quite ready to put on a tutu, but that's ok - we’ve got time. But we all should find the pink and the fabulous in our life and celebrate it.
Adventures in Pink-ificaton!
Sutton had more than just pink and tutus up its sleeve. There was a fantastic artisan's fair in the main square, featuring stalls laden with local crafts and some of the cutest and most delightful handcrafted jewellery you could find anywhere. One particular stall was bursting with hand-knitted fluffy accessories! They reminded me of all the soft fluffy tutu fabric I see during my lab days! Of course, I picked up some lovely pink fuzzy mittens for a friend. But that wasn't all... Oh, dearie me... this amazing shop owner, she must have loved pink as much as I do because I found an incredible pink silk scarf. The intricate pattern matched my newly-found pink floral dress beautifully. So you can only imagine my delight in adding both of them to my expanding collection of things to take back home to Derbyshire! They would be the perfect reminders of my Sutton adventures!
The Magic of Pink and its Powerful Effect!
Before I went off to experience Sutton's magical theatre and then found a pink flower for a flower crown to wear during the artisan fair - my fabulous adventures continued - in style of course. I even had the pleasure of meeting the kindest horse that just seemed to enjoy sharing its stable with a girl in a bright pink tutu. The horse seemed to know that this pink queen had an eye for detail and an appreciation for all things wonderful! I think maybe it could even sense that I'm on a mission to encourage others to add pink to their wardrobes because she nuzzled me gently when I was busy taking selfies by the stables.
The horse and the locals and even the adorable street musicians playing at the corner of Sutton’s busy high street all seemed to share a very special feeling that this magical place, and me, are connected somehow in a kind of universal magic. If I had to describe Sutton with a single word... it would be "whimsical." Every little corner seems to burst with charm! My trip reminded me once again that the magic is always within you. Embrace the Pink Tutu Sparkles within yourself and get out there and show the world what makes YOU sparkle, dearie!
So, here’s to Sutton! A delightful little town where a tutu wearing fashion queen is absolutely adored by locals and locals adore everything pink, a pink queen could wish for a more delightful place.
