Oh, the joy of a walk on the beach, feeling the sand squish between my toes, the sun warming my face... blissful! ?️☀️
But hold on a minute, we haven't even talked about the drag part yet! Cleethorpes is famous for its summer events, and believe me, my fellow fabulous folk, Pink Tutu Sparkles was not about to miss out!
From the moment I arrived at Cleethorpes station, I was met with such warmth and a joyful buzz in the air. People couldn't stop grinning at me in my pink tutu, even though my outfit did create a slight bottleneck on the platform - my extra large, poofy pink tutu definitely demanded attention. The lovely conductor even offered to carry my luggage – bless her, she just loves a pink tutu! ?
Fabulous Food by the Sea
I have to tell you, my first stop had to be the charming Cleethorpes Pier. Forget the cheesy seaside fare you'd expect - I'm talking exquisite seafood, served up with a side of pink prosecco and a sprinkle of fairy dust! ?
Time for a Splash of Entertainment!
Then it was time for a little fun under the Cleethorpes sun! After lunch, I headed to the Pleasure Island Amusement Park, ready for a whirlwind of laughter and screams (especially on the big dipper!). ?? The good people of Cleethorpes welcomed me with open arms, even offering to let me hold their kids on the carousel - can you imagine, me in my pink tutu, bouncing alongside these precious little cherubs?! ??
And the entertainment didn't stop there, darling! In the evening, Cleethorpes hosted an amazing "Street Eats and Drag" festival in the heart of the town! I joined forces with some of my fellow drag queens from Derbyshire and we had a blast spreading the pink tutu love, and let me tell you, the crowds were mesmerized. We put on a real show, with fabulous choreography and music, dazzling lights and costumes that just radiated the sheer joy of it all! The laughter, the cheers, the love… I could have stayed on stage all night! ?
