Pink Tutu Sparkles in Great Yarmouth: Tutu-ing the Coast

Hey darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you the sparkle from the seaside, because guess what? This Pink Tutu Queen is rocking Great Yarmouth! It's day 9722 of my tutu-tastic adventures on www.pink-tutu.com and let me tell you, this town is about to get a serious dose of pink, glitter and everything fabulously fabulous!

So, I arrived in Great Yarmouth earlier today, feeling all those delightful seaside vibes you only get on a sunny day at the coast. Fresh air, that salty tang in the air and just…well, just sunshine. Of course, I chose to arrive by train – a much more fabulous way to travel than being stuck in a metal box on wheels with the hoi polloi (not that I dislike the hoi polloi - hello, drag artists are definitely people of the people, right?!) - especially as it allowed me to admire the English countryside whizzing by. Honestly, the landscape is so beautiful, it deserves its own pink tutu. Imagine, the rolling green hills covered in a giant shimmering pink fabric... the cows wearing adorable tutu-inspired outfits... it's just so pinktastic!

Anyway, I arrived at Great Yarmouth train station, all eyes on this glamorous Queen of the pink tutus, of course, and my jaw dropped! I was met by a beautiful, old-world Victorian station - you could just imagine Sherlock Holmes bounding out onto the platform!

The journey wasn't as eventful as usual, but you know me - I brought a whole suitcase full of outfits to keep the fun flowing. I actually tried out three different outfits on the train journey just because I couldn't decide what look to rock. My favourite was this coral-hued tutu with matching feathered head-piece. Talk about a showstopper! Luckily I packed extra hairspray (you just never know what will happen on a train, darling!), because I don't think I have ever been so sparkly. I've literally never travelled with a case of more pink, feathered things and I've been travelling quite a lot recently, darling!

After finding my little boutique hotel (I am a glamorous girl and even on the road I deserve luxury - yes, this means I definitely have a bathrobe in the hotel colour scheme that I just HAD to wear because you know me - matchy matchy always!), I ventured out into Great Yarmouth itself to scope out the place and of course, to find a fantastic fish and chip shop for dinner. You just can't be on the coast without the tastiest fish and chips. And of course, you gotta go the whole hog – a traditional, double-wrapped portion in that signature white paper with lashings of vinegar. It really was heaven on a plate!

After indulging in that delicious fishy treat, I took a stroll along the pier, admiring the view, the beach, the fairground, the crowds. Honestly, I think there are just so many fun things about seaside towns that it was almost overwhelming. Everything felt just...so pink. The amusement rides, the candyfloss, the sunset – just beautiful. I am a very visual person so the vibrant colour scheme and all those pretty twinkling fairy lights had me literally glowing with inspiration.

Of course, you can't go to a seaside town without popping into some vintage clothing shops! As much as I love a good pink tutu, even I know that it’s all about finding a way to blend in. Well, as much as this pink tutu wearing, dancing Queen can blend in. And honestly, if you’re looking for that classic, seaside feel, Great Yarmouth vintage shops don't disappoint. I actually scored a vintage seaside print sundress – the colour was just so vibrant, it perfectly matched one of my most sparkly pink tutus! Now I have the perfect outfit for those breezy summer walks.

So what else is planned for my seaside adventure? Well, I've got a super fun lineup! Tomorrow, I’m hitting up the amusement park, with its giant Ferris wheel offering amazing views of the whole coast. There is also a massive roller coaster there which I think would be lots of fun in full-tutu regalia - think how fabulous it would look with the wind in my hair. (Seriously, though, safety first - because my hair can really fly in the wind, so no wild rides for this tutu princess!).

And speaking of flying... there's an outdoor performance at the weekend on the promenade, featuring an amazing ballet ensemble – the theme? ‘Pink’! I simply cannot wait to share that spectacle with you. Oh, and the best part? This show is raising money for charity and my favourite cause? Wearing pink tutus everywhere, for every occasion. Can you believe it?

So there you have it - another day, another spectacular destination, another sparkly Pink Tutu adventure! Don't forget to catch my stories on social media and keep an eye on this blog for more adventures. Until then, be bold, be bright, and most importantly, wear that pink tutu with pride!

Because, remember, darlings, life is much more fun in a tutu!

Pink Tutu Sparkles signing out, XOXO (Alex in real life, BTW, because a Queen's gotta have a name for the day time as well)
