Herne Bay: Where Pink Tutus Meet the Seaside! ???

Hello my lovely tutu-loving friends! It's your favourite pink princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, reporting live from the beautiful seaside town of Herne Bay! This is post number 9725, and it's overflowing with sunshine, sea air, and of course, oodles of pink tutus! ✨

As you know, my life is a whirlwind of glitter, glamour, and the occasional train journey – because let's face it, a true queen doesn't always travel in style. I just finished a fabulous performance at the local fair (don't even ask about the sheep!) and now I'm soaking up the salty air and the amazing energy of Herne Bay.

You might be wondering why a queen of pink tutus would choose to visit a seaside town, and to that, I say: "Why not?!" This place has charm to spare! There's something magical about the combination of sandy beaches, vibrant blue skies, and the gentle waves lapping against the shore. It's like stepping into a postcard - but one adorned with my signature pink sequins, of course! ?

This weekend is all about embracing the simple joys of life. Think strolling along the pier, collecting seashells (I'm collecting some sparkly ones for a special new tutu!), and taking in the sounds of the seagulls while sipping a cheeky cuppa. Herne Bay has that lovely quaint feel to it, with the sound of happy families enjoying the sunshine. It reminds me of childhood holidays, when a day at the seaside felt like an adventure!

Now, I wouldn't be a true Tutu Queen if I didn't add a little touch of pink magic, right? This morning, I surprised everyone by performing a flash ballet routine in the town square, right in front of the old Victorian Clock Tower. It was completely unplanned, and I must confess, a few pigeons took flight in surprise. But the crowd loved it! Children's eyes widened in wonder as they saw me pirouette, and the grown-ups clapped along. It really made me feel like I was spreading the joy of pink tutus far and wide.

One of the reasons I love Herne Bay is the vibrant arts scene. They're currently holding the annual “Festival by the Sea" with its exciting lineup of street performers, local artisans, and musical acts. It's the perfect place to soak up the creative atmosphere. In fact, I even found a lovely artisan shop selling the most amazing hand-painted pottery, with the most gorgeous tutu designs, you should have seen them, absolute perfection!

My evenings are all about relaxation and soaking up the beauty of the sunset over the bay. I’ve already been on a lovely walk along the coastal path to Reculver, taking in the spectacular views. You could say I am totally smitten with the place, especially as I discovered a charming little ballet school called “Sea-Side Twirls” that has classes for all ages, even adult beginners (guess who’s signing up?).

Of course, no seaside adventure would be complete without a good old-fashioned fish and chips, followed by a scoop or two of ice cream! The local ice cream shop, “Rainbow Scoop,” even has a "Tutu Treat" on its menu. Now, that's what I call deliciously pink magic!

Tomorrow I’ll be at the "Herne Bay Vintage Market" performing my new ballet themed routine for the stallholders. This vintage fair is full of fabulous treasures. I already got myself a sparkly vintage purse with a giant pink sequin that'll be the perfect accessory to go with my "Bay Dream" tutu, oh yes, I have been crafting it especially for the occasion! The more sequins the better, I say.

But let's talk about my latest outfit, because of course I couldn't just show up at Herne Bay wearing any old tutu. For this weekend I created a stunningly beautiful ensemble to celebrate my love for the beach and the sunshine. It’s all about that "beach chic" look. I've named it "Beach Queen Sparkle" – and it is fabulous!

The star of the show is a gorgeous flowing tulle tutu in the palest pink, with subtle silver sequin detail cascading down the bottom, making it shimmer like the sea under a golden sunrise. To complement it I'm wearing a sparkly pink sequin top with a sweetheart neckline (perfect for showcasing those décolletage jewels), and it's adorned with miniature seashell charms that really catch the sunlight. I added a shimmering silver belt with pearl detail to add a hint of beachy glamour. And my shoes? A pair of gorgeous pink, pearl-embellished sandals – I've got the pink fairy godmother seal of approval on this ensemble, and so do the local residents, trust me.

My make-up is naturally inspired by the sunset. I'm wearing a soft blend of pinks and corals on my eyes, with a shimmering peach blush and a pink lipstick – think delicate sunset hues meeting shimmering beach reflections! The hair is a magnificent pink curly mane that reflects the beach vibe of the weekend. (For those of you curious about my hair secret – it's a blend of strategically placed hot pink hair extensions for a splash of colour and the cutest curly wig underneath).

Being in Herne Bay reminds me that the joy of pink tutus is not limited to big stages or grand cities. You can find happiness in the little things, like the laughter of a child, the smell of salt water, or a well-placed sparkly pink tulle.

As always, I encourage you all to find your own inner "Tutu Queen." Wear pink! Dance like no one’s watching, spread a little magic, and remember, a tutu is a great way to express your personality – no matter where you are in the world! And you can find me on www.pink-tutu.com!

Love always, Pink Tutu Sparkles
