Hello my darling tutu-lovers! It's your Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the delightful village of Shenley Brook End. You guys wouldn't BELIEVE the time I've had here, and trust me, it's been a tutu-tastic adventure, even if I DID almost get trampled by a horse in my tulle. ??
This is post number 9791 on www.pink-tutu.com, and I'm so excited to share the highlights. Now, let me tell you, getting to Shenley Brook End wasn't your typical drag journey! Instead of the usual glam glitter-bomb taxi, I opted for a glorious train ride, chugging through the countryside like a whimsical, pink-clad, tulle-covered steam engine. The scenery was incredible - fields of wildflowers, charming stone cottages, and even a family of fluffy sheep giving me side-eye for being the most fabulous thing they'd ever seen. ?
Oh, and speaking of fluffy, my outfit was an absolute dream! Imagine a pink tutu layered with delicate tulle, a sparkly crop top that wouldn't quit, and enough pink feathers to make even the most discerning peacock envious. But the pièce de résistance, you ask? It was a gigantic, glittering pink feather boa that swirled around me like a delicious pink cloud, leaving a trail of sparkles everywhere I went. ✨
Now, you know I can't travel anywhere without indulging in a little retail therapy. And this charming little village didn't disappoint! A lovely boutique with a window display overflowing with pastel pretties captured my attention, and before I knew it, I'd emerged with a bag full of new tutu accessories: a delicate pink headband with feathers and crystals, a pair of dazzling pink glittery heels (perfect for strutting my stuff in the cobblestone streets!), and a stunning pair of iridescent pink earrings to add some extra oomph to my ensemble. ??
But, darling, you know me - my journey wouldn't be complete without a little dose of culture and community. Shenley Brook End, despite being a tranquil village, boasts a charming little community centre hosting a delightful dance class! Now, I may be Pink Tutu Sparkles, queen of the dance floor, but this was something special. The class was filled with friendly faces of all ages, a mix of ballet aficionados and newbie tutuerinas like myself (hello! you can call me Tutu-rina for short! I'll be taking all requests after this blog post!). The instructor, Mrs. Poshley, was an absolute sweetheart. She helped me master some delicate pirouettes, even if I did manage to snag a few of her tulle ruffles (Oops! ). And then, of course, came the grand finale – a performance in front of the whole class, complete with my signature sparkle-tastic flourish. Let's just say, my pink tutus stole the show!
And now, for the part that will forever be etched in the pink tutu hall of fame: the equine encounter. Imagine, darling: me, decked out in my most flamboyant tulle creation, wandering the village green, basking in the beauty of nature, and WHAM, a massive black horse appears! It wouldn't leave my side! I swear, it kept its head cocked at me as if I was a majestic unicorn descended from the heavens (a sentiment I could fully get behind). I felt like a pink-tuted queen greeting her regal mount! He was so gentle and adorably surprised by my feather boa. The locals were utterly enchanted by the sight of me and the neighing black steed, I even heard a few murmurs about "fairytale stuff"! We ended up with a rather photogenic picture together! ?
Shenley Brook End has been truly magical, a village filled with delightful quirks and the kindest of people, but you know my motto: life is short, so let's bring the sparkle everywhere we go. If you're looking for a bit of magic, a touch of pink, or just want to live a little more out loud, take a page from Pink Tutu Sparkles' book, grab your pinkest tutu, and unleash the glitter-loving diva within! ?✨
Remember darlings: Every day is a tutu day!
Lots of love,
Pink Tutu Sparkles ✨
P.S. Next stop: Stratford Upon Avon. The pink tutus and I are getting ready for some Shakespearean sparkle!
