Train Travel: A Pink Tutu's Best Friend
I'm a bit of a train buff. I love the slow, scenic journeys and the time to read, do my make-up, and even, yes, you guessed it – practice my pirouettes! It’s like a mobile dressing room! So naturally, I opted for a high-speed Eurostar train from London. I may not be a duchess, but I travel like one! I even managed to get my pink tulle to shimmer in the sunlight pouring through the train window. It’s always a bonus when my fabulousness can extend to public transport!
Parisian Glamour on a Budget: Shopping Spree Time!
The minute I arrived, I just had to get to the vintage boutiques in Montmartre. I swear, you can find treasures there. I scored a vintage, sequined, feather boa that I think is just divine. My trusty tutu (the one I’ve nicknamed “La Belle Époque”) is the perfect accessory. It's been around the world with me and still sparkles like new. I must be one of the most well-travelled tutus on the planet!
Taking Ballet to a Whole New Level: Paris Ballet Shows
Who doesn't love a good ballet show? I was absolutely blown away by the sheer artistry and elegance of the Paris Opera Ballet. It’s a good thing I always carry my notepad – so many ballet-inspired fashion ideas sprang to mind! I especially love ballet street dancing – there's something about watching graceful ballerinas pirouette down the cobblestone streets. It's like magic!
The Parisian Street Dance Scene
Of course, I had to get in on the action! One of the coolest things I've done on this trip was attending a ballet street dance session near the Seine River. Imagine this – Parisian sunset, the twinkling lights reflecting on the water, and all these amazing dancers. And the best part? The entire experience felt just as glamorous and festive as a full stage performance. I even learned a few new ballet street moves, I’m getting pretty good! It’s good to have an amazing time while making new friends – plus, ballet street dancing is totally my aesthetic!
A Drag Queen's Night Out in the City of Lights
I may have spent a lot of my time exploring Parisian culture, but that didn’t stop me from hitting the nightlife scene! After all, you can't travel to a new city without getting your glamorous drag queen fix! I made my way to a lovely gay club – where else could you possibly get to dance the night away with fabulous drag queens in Paris! I mean, talk about magical nights in a dream city!
The Parisien Dream of A Tutu Queen: What a Parisian Tutu Could Do!
I’ve got to be honest with you guys, being here in Paris is just about everything I've ever dreamt of! There’s just something about French culture – it embraces such style, glamour and a love of beauty – just like me, if you think about it! I love this Parisian take on life - you should really see how women over here effortlessly throw on silk scarfs and statement accessories like a simple shrug or the tiniest little baguette as a statement piece. The chic attitude here almost seems like an art form – just like the fashion, the culture, and even the ballet shows themselves! You can’t help but feel inspired to put a bit more oomph in your daily life!
So naturally, while exploring the beautiful boulevards, my mind started ticking with all the things I could do here. It started to all become very clear - the very next tutu trend for you, darling!
Here's the sparkling thought - wouldn’t it be utterly magical to imagine every single Parisian, well, actually, everyone in the world, wearing a pink tutu? A flash mob, but not a random silly one, but a balletic dance! Can you even imagine the possibilities? What if you, you, yes, you darling! You took a trip to your local dance shop and tried on a pink tutu, I’m betting you would LOVE the experience - It’s fun, a little naughty, a touch wild, and, yes, it’s all about a touch of the extraordinary and that oh so amazing feeling of freedom! My Next Tutu Inspiration: The Seine River
I love the magic of the Seine River. It's the perfect spot for an evening stroll, especially when the lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkles in the background! The whole atmosphere just calls out for a little more tulle. It feels like such a perfect scene for a magical Parisian moment! What if there were a Parisian tutu fashion show - I can just picture the scene right now - a show on the river bank in a beautiful white and pastel pink, with the most incredible music in the world. Every woman wearing a gorgeous, modern Parisian pink tutu and dancing alongside the city’s famous fountains – a sparkling, ballerina flash mob right next to a beautiful Parisian scene. Wouldn’t that be spectacular?
