Hello, darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the fabulous city of Cambridge, and oh, the sheer joy of it all! This is my first time here, and the moment I stepped off the train, I knew I was in for a real treat. Cambridge just feels magical - those old, honey-coloured buildings, the winding streets... it's like something out of a fairy tale! And you know what pairs perfectly with fairytale settings? Pink tutus, darling, naturally!
As a true TutuQueen, I always travel in style, and this trip is no different. Imagine this, if you will: My darling Alex (that's my 'real' name, you know!) threw all my favorite pink, glittery outfits into a vintage suitcase and boarded the train. There I was, amongst the sensible, suited-up commuters, a vision of sparkly tulle in my pinkest of pink tutus, strategically placed amongst my neatly packed stash of eyeshadows and wigs! Let's just say, I definitely caused a stir - the smiles and curious stares were like a delicious little wave of compliments. Oh, I've always said, you can never be too pink. ?
And Cambridge, my lovelies, you know this city just begs for a splash of tutu-powered cheer. It was a little chilly this morning, but my pinkest of pink faux fur stole kept the wind away, while my high-top ballerina pumps added a playful, rebellious kick to my ensemble!
After settling in at my hotel (did you know they have actual secret passageways, you know, the kind that whisper stories of university students pulling hilarious pranks?) I knew exactly where I had to go - to the heart of Cambridge's grand, historical heart: King's College Chapel. The stained glass windows, the lofty arches... a perfect place to admire my own pink tutu reflection! Oh, darling, I nearly did a cartwheel right there on the spot! It felt so right. ✨
Later on, my journey took me to the stunning University of Cambridge itself. Now, my lovelies, I know I talk about pink tutus a LOT (after all, I'm TutuQueen, right? ?), but let me tell you, a real Cambridge experience involves a little bit of academia. I don't know if you're aware, but the city practically oozes learning and wisdom. And trust me, there's plenty of space for pink tutus to shine here too! I even popped into the Cambridge University Ballet Club to share some of my sparkly tutu magic and see how the future ballet stars are doing - oh, they were absolutely divine, and their energy was fantastic! I was tempted to join in! You just never know, my dears! Maybe there's a tutu-tastic ballet scholarship in my future... I'll just have to find the right pink shade to impress the tutors. ?
And let's not forget the culinary delights! From the most delicious, pink-themed afternoon tea I've ever encountered to some of the best fish and chips I've had (in a beautiful setting, naturally!), Cambridge is a food lover's dream. It's the kind of place where even your takeaway meals feel like a celebration - all perfectly complimented by my signature TutuQueen sass and pink-hued charm.
Speaking of charm, you guys, you wouldn't believe the lovely folks I've met today! Cambridge seems to be brimming with lovely locals and friendly faces. I even got to have a little chat with the cutest little poodle dressed up in a miniature tutu (it was pink, of course!). Honestly, even poodles understand the appeal of a well-crafted pink tutu!
Before you leave this post, I want to make sure you know, darlings, this is only the beginning! Tomorrow I have a delightful itinerary planned: an afternoon spent at a breathtaking ballet performance, some shopping for new pink tulle and some oh-so-adorable pink satin ribbons (you know me and my tutu-twirling addiction!), followed by a fantastic performance of my own at a lovely local venue. My mission, as always, is to spread a sprinkle of TutuQueen sparkle and get everyone dancing in the streets.
