Hello my darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles, and I'm back from another fabulous adventure, this time all the way down to the beautiful seaside town of Neath in Wales!
Remember when I said my ultimate goal was to make the world a pink tutu-ful place? Well, Neath took me a step closer to achieving that dream! From the moment I arrived, I felt surrounded by people who genuinely appreciated the art of dressing up, the power of pink, and the sheer joy of twirling!
This week's adventure began with a long and lovely train journey. I simply adore train journeys – all that time to admire the changing landscape, catch up on my favourite reads (you'll always find a fashion magazine or a book on ballet in my tote bag), and of course, people watch! Now, there are some people who would call it a "guilty pleasure" to people watch. Not me! I think it's essential for gathering inspiration and keeping your style fresh! I love noticing how people express themselves through their outfits, even if they don't have a single sequin in sight. Fashion, like pink tutus, is an art form for everyone!
This journey, however, came with a special twist: a friendly, furry passenger. Let me introduce you to my new travelling companion, "Flutter" - a gorgeous white steed I had the pleasure of sharing the journey with.
Now, you know I love a bit of dramatic flair, and there's something truly magical about a journey on horseback. Imagine this: me, in my shimmering pink tutu, the wind whipping through my perfectly styled hair, galloping through rolling Welsh hills. Honestly, it felt like something straight out of a fairytale! (Just make sure to keep those sparkles away from the saddle, darling. You'd be surprised how easily they can snag!).
But my adventure wasn't just about pretty scenery and exciting rides. I also got to do what I love best: spreading a little bit of Tutu-liciousness to the good people of Neath! I performed at the town's annual fair, where I managed to persuade a good handful of folks to try on some tutus, with more than a few actually committing to buying their very own pink twirly masterpieces! Isn't it just brilliant how contagious joy and a splash of pink can be?
Neath also has a beautiful theatre, and let me tell you, it felt absolutely magical to perform on that stage! I must have spun around a good hundred times during my show. I can honestly say it was the most fabulous night, full of laughter, twirling, and cheers!
Of course, no trip to Neath is complete without exploring the local area, especially with all those gorgeous seaside views. I spent the morning strolling through the town's market, browsing all the quirky stalls and local crafts. I picked up some divine pink macarons for my next train ride (you can never have too many macarons, right?) and found some fantastically colourful vintage fabrics to make myself a brand new pink tutu design! (I can’t wait to show you all my latest creation).
It’s the little details, darlings, that truly make a journey special. This trip was no exception. In Neath, it’s all about those little quirks: the charm of the cobbled streets, the sound of seagulls circling the harbour, and even the local baker's delightful, brightly pink icing on their cupcakes! There’s something so whimsical and fun about embracing those small things that make Neath feel so uniquely beautiful.
