By day, I work as a scientist, testing fabrics and ensuring those sequins stay just right, but by night, I'm transformed into the spectacularly sparkly Pink Tutu Sparkles. You see, I'm a huge ballet enthusiast, so when I found out the university ballet club was fundraising for a new dance floor, I decided to try on a pink tutu for charity. The entire town has been buzzing about this spectacular ballet production – a beautiful, vibrant adaptation of "The Nutcracker" starring some incredible young talent. The theatre was a stunning building, bathed in soft pink lighting (it’s like they know me!). They even had a little shop selling miniature tutus, which I just had to add to my growing collection. I found myself backstage after the show, chatting with the ballet master. It turns out he is absolutely obsessed with pink tutus as well, which, honestly, who can blame him? From fundraising performances at local fairs to being the headliner at quirky gigs all over the UK, I've made sure my drag persona, Pink Tutu Sparkles, helps me fulfil my own dreams! Speaking of which, I made a stop at Eltham’s quirky boutique. I simply had to get myself a new feather boa to complement my latest collection of pink tutus (it’s all about coordinating, darlings!). They even had the most amazing collection of handmade glitter shoes – my wardrobe is never complete without the perfect sparkle! ??
