Sutton in Ashfield, My Darlings! ✨?

Helloooo, lovelies! It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the glorious, glittering town of Sutton in Ashfield! ? This is blog post number 9949, and today, we're going to have a proper giggle, because I've got so much to tell you! ?

I must say, Sutton in Ashfield is quite the charming place! I took the train, of course – nothing quite compares to that feeling of wind in my hair and tutus swirling in the breeze! Honestly, I've started bringing a pink parasol along with me because you never know when the English weather might decide to play tricks! ☂️ You know how I love a bit of theatrical drama. ?

This trip, as with all my ventures, is all about spreading the joy of pink tutus! And what better way to start than with a quick stroll around the market? I snagged some absolutely gorgeous pink satin ribbons for my next big performance, and found a darling little pink flamingo statue for my dressing room! The shopkeeper, bless her heart, just looked at me with that 'I-can't-believe-this-is-happening' look! I swear, I could have sold her the most incredible pink tutu right then and there. The potential is endless, darlings! ?✨

Speaking of potential, I also managed to squeeze in a ballet class! You know how much I love my pirouettes and grand jetés – even on the road, I’ve got to keep those muscles honed and ready for the big stage! ? The ballet studio was tucked away on a quiet side street, like a little secret oasis, but let me tell you, it was pure magic. I met a fabulous bunch of ladies who were just as excited about my pink tutu as I am! We talked about everything from pointe shoes to perfecting that graceful arabesque. Such good energy, it's a wonder I didn't end up dancing in the streets! ?

Of course, the real highlight of any trip for me is discovering those hidden gems of shops! And Sutton in Ashfield didn't disappoint! I found the most incredible vintage boutique called "Sew and Tell" – honestly, it's like a pink dream come true! So many sparkling accessories, feathers galore, and vintage costumes from all sorts of eras! It was like a costume party for my eyes. I may have lost a few hours in there – the time just flies when you’re surrounded by the potential for fabulous! ?️

And just when you think it can't get any better, I stumbled across a delightful tea room! "The Pink Poodle" - how perfect is that name? ? It was a complete explosion of pastel hues, adorable pink china cups, and the most delicious cakes I've ever had. They had a special on a "Tutu Trifle," and let me tell you, it was to die for. Layers of cake, custard, whipped cream, and strawberries. Truly a celebration of all things fabulous. ?

After all that tea and cake, I headed out for my big performance at the local theater – The Old Playhouse. Honestly, darlings, you have to come and see this place if you’re in the area. A classic old-school theater with a warm, cosy atmosphere and enough character to fill a dozen other places! ? The crowd loved my performance, showering me with cheers and applause. Even the grumpy old man in the back row, the one who usually only likes traditional ballet, ended up snapping a photo with me! You know he went straight home and told everyone, "Did you see that drag queen? She was absolutely fantastic!”

I finished the night on a high, riding back through the English countryside on a beautiful chestnut mare, all twinkly lights, pink tutus, and a smile so wide you could probably see it from outer space! ✨ It was truly the most magical day – and I'm only halfway through my adventure!

Tomorrow, it's time for a bit of shopping in Mansfield, which is famous for its pottery, you know, but I can’t imagine getting through a shopping trip without finding at least one pink thing… and it’s bound to be fabulously tutu-licious! ?

Stay tuned, my lovelies! The pink tutu adventure is just beginning.

With love and glitter,

Your Pink Tutu Sparkles ?✨
