Darling! Let me tell you, Newbury has been an absolute dream!
This is a post for the ages, pet. After my fabulous time in Stratford, it's now Newbury's turn to be sprinkled with Pink Tutu Sparkles! And oh my darlings, Newbury was just swirling with glitter and pink!
Let's rewind, you see, after that delightful theatre performance in Stratford, I whipped out the Pink Tutu Sparkles' secret travel weapon: the train! The journey from Stratford to Newbury was a right proper jolly: sun shining, gentle breeze blowing, and the pinkest sunrise I'd ever seen. Truly a magical start to a truly magical trip.
My newbury gig was at a lovely little fair. A right proper community event with all sorts, you name it: face painting, vintage clothing stalls, even a donkey ride. It really got me in the mood to sparkle and delight all these lovely people.
So! I arrived at the fairgrounds with my usual entourage - my trusty luggage full of tutus, glitter, feather boas, and the secret weapon to my sparkle-infused life: my very own vintage dressing-up box filled with fabulous hats!
I decided to start the day with my favourite, the Hot Pink Tutu: an explosion of pure delight! It just sets the mood, you know? It's a real mood booster for myself and for everyone in the audience, you see.
After a whirlwind performance, a fabulous little chat with some new friends, and even a selfie with the donkeys, it was time for a bit of lunch and a wander around. Darling! You wouldn't believe how many places had pink in them. I just felt like a fish in water. I even found the most delightful little tea shop with pink walls, floral teacups, and the most incredible homemade strawberry jam tarts. Just a slice of paradise.
It was the perfect spot to take stock, you know? It's moments like that, surrounded by pink and surrounded by loveliness that remind me just how much I love what I do. Pink Tutu Sparkles is so much more than a stage name, you see, it's a way of life!
I spent the rest of the afternoon chatting with the lovely local folk, taking in the sights and sounds of this fabulous little town, and spreading my pinktastic gospel. The main street was adorned with hanging baskets of flowers in a kaleidoscope of pinks, every window seemed to have something in a shade of rose. It was dreamy.
And what really got me whirl-spinning with glee? A local dancing troupe was giving a performance of their new work in the town hall square. Darling! You know me! I love dancing. I'm all about celebrating movement and rhythm, especially in a fabulous outfit, you see! This new performance was about stories in motion, with fantastic costumes - all inspired by the story of a mythical bird. I mean, if that isn't a sign of Pink Tutu Sparkles-meets-fabulous-performance destiny, then I don't know what is!
The music, the stories, the movement... It got me all whipped up, so much that, well, let's just say the little dancing queen in me couldn't help but join in! The whole square erupted with laughter as Pink Tutu Sparkles took to the dance floor for a spur-of-the-moment routine. It was, how shall I say, a moment of utter delight, for me and for all the local people enjoying their sunny afternoon.
So, as the sun began to set on a wonderful day in Newbury, it occurred to me, pet. It didn't matter where I went, where I performed, where I was dancing in my pinkest pink tutu! It didn't matter because this entire, fantastic, delightful journey was, and still is, about inspiring joy and spreading sparkle and that, my dears, is the real secret ingredient to the Pink Tutu Sparkles success.
So, here's to pink tutus, dancing, and all the pink joy in life! Remember darlings, there's always something pink around the corner, you just have to look out for it. And remember, everyone has a pink tutu inside of them. You just have to find it!
