This is post number 9992 for my ever-growing pink-tutu.com blog, and let me tell you, Llanelli is proving to be quite the adventure already! The Welsh weather, oh darling, it's a bit of a whirlwind - I swear the wind tried to whisk away my tulle in a little twirl of its own! ? But hey, even the grey skies couldn't dampen my spirits because I'm in this gorgeous little town ready to spread some sparkly pink joy.
You might be wondering how a queen like me ends up in a town like Llanelli, and honestly, it's all thanks to the magic of the railways! Yes, darling, I travelled all the way here by train! I love those long, leisurely journeys through the British countryside, a proper time to settle into a book and just let my mind wander, thinking up all sorts of sparkly ideas for my next tutu look! I was even lucky enough to spot a cute fluffy lamb munching on some grass alongside the track, I practically died with cuteness overload!
The real highlight of the journey though, was getting to Llanelli and discovering this adorable little cafe called "Tutu Tea" - literally my favourite name EVER! ? Imagine my delight when I discovered they had pink iced cupcakes and a special offer for those wearing tutus: a free hot drink with any cake purchase. Now that's what I call true pink-tutu hospitality! They must know about my mission - to get everyone in the world wearing a pink tutu. I just know there will be a mass tutuing moment at some point!
So, about this mission, did you know that it all started in uni? ? Back then, Alex (that's my alter ego, the science whizz who loves to analyse fabrics for a living!) was deep into his degree when I accidentally stumbled upon the university's ballet club. I ended up trying on a pink tutu for a charity event and, well, you can imagine what happened next! The rest is sparkly history, my darlings.
Speaking of sparkles, have you seen this fabulous theatre where I'm performing tonight?! The Llanelli Theatre has been completely revamped, and let me tell you, it's practically shimmering from the inside out. I've got my outfit picked out, of course! Think a custom-made pink tulle confection that's layered with glitter, feathers, and maybe even some strategically placed sequins. Can't reveal all the secrets, now can I? Let's just say it's going to be tutu-tally epic!
But wait, there's more! I’m absolutely obsessed with ballet - can you believe I’m taking ballet lessons with the Llanelli Ballet School? The dancers are absolutely phenomenal, and I just can’t resist a little plié with them. We even ended up trying some ballet street together - which you guys know is one of my favourite types of performance! The energy in the room was electric, and I could practically feel the rhythm of the music in my very bones! ??
