You know how much I adore a good train journey, right? Especially when I can travel in style - and believe me, this one was a masterpiece! ? We snaked through the lush greenery of Yorkshire, past quaint villages and sheep grazing peacefully in emerald fields. I'm telling you, it was the perfect pre-show prep for a sparkly night in Bridlington.
Bridlington itself? Let me just say it was practically begging for a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance! ? The air was buzzing with excitement, the smell of salt air and candy floss filling my senses. We checked into our delightful hotel, and the view? Chef's Kiss - stunning sea views that made my heart sing!
After a quick freshen up (because let's be real, a queen always looks her best), it was time for some serious Bridlington exploration! My bestie, Bubbles (who's also a major pink tutu enthusiast, FYI), and I set off on a whirlwind tour, complete with cheeky selfies at every quirky little shop. Let me tell you, the place was practically brimming with independent boutiques! ?️ I snapped up some beautiful floral hair clips (so pink, obvs!) and a new set of sparkly feather earrings, which are going to make my next show! ✨
Oh, and I stumbled upon this fabulous local vintage store bursting with beautiful, shimmering fabric! Turns out, they had a whole corner dedicated to tutus - and it was literally tutu heaven! ? Honestly, I could have stayed in that shop all day, just imagining the spectacular outfits I could create. (Cue major sparkle eyes!)
By late afternoon, the sun was starting to dip low on the horizon, and we decided it was time for a little treat! I just love trying new things, and in Bridlington, that meant taking a ride in a horse-drawn carriage! The wind was in my hair, the horses clopping softly on the cobbled streets, and I was just basking in the quintessential Bridlington experience! ?

Speaking of quintessential Bridlington experiences, you simply cannot go to this beautiful seaside town without experiencing its vibrant arts scene. That evening, we took our seats in the theatre, eagerly awaiting a fantastic performance! ? The moment I stepped through the doors, I felt the magic of the stage come alive. This, my friends, is where I truly feel at home. ?
The performance? Absolutely fabulous! It was a brilliant, whimsical production filled with stunning visuals, talented dancers, and some killer costuming! I absolutely adored the intricate sets, and the lighting was just magical! ✨
The show itself was such a feast for the eyes and ears, making me feel like a little girl lost in a world of pure imagination. There was just something so special about watching all these incredibly talented performers tell their story with grace and artistry. ?
I actually have a little confession to make - I even cried at one point! It was the scene where the dancers took a chance on a new journey. They were vulnerable and strong, beautiful and brave - a poignant moment that brought to light how even with those glittery tutus, being a performer is always a bit of a dance through life's unpredictable paths!

Pink Tutu Sparkles' Seafront Soirée
No trip to the coast would be complete without a little bit of beach time, right? And in true Pink Tutu Sparkles style, my beach experience involved a whole lotta pink and a whole lotta sparkle! ?️ I practically twirled my way onto the beach, my pink tutu catching the gentle sea breeze.
Honestly, there's just something so liberating about dancing on the beach. I feel a connection to the vastness of the ocean, a reminder of the power of freedom and expression! ?
It wasn't all fun and games though! As part of my Bridlington adventure, I had a fun opportunity to put my knowledge of textiles to good use! ? As you know, by day I’m a scientist working in a fabric testing lab! So I popped down to a lovely local seaside crafts shop and met up with some fabulous weavers. We discussed all the wonders of different materials, the magic of making tutus from natural materials, and the importance of sustainability. ?
These passionate craftspeople, weaving dreams into intricate textiles - that's my jam, my loves! This little side trip brought me back to the reason I'm on this amazing adventure in the first place: to inspire creativity, celebrate self-expression, and maybe get just a few more people rocking that fabulously pink tutu look! ?

Sadly, every good adventure must come to an end. As I boarded the train back home, I realised that this weekend trip wasn't just a break - it was a reminder of why I love to share my journey as a pink tutu queen! ?
