Hello darlings, and welcome to blog post number 10037! I hope you're all having a fabulous week. I know I am! This week, your favourite pink tutu queen was travelling in style, taking a very scenic train journey down to the charming town of Frome in Somerset. Frome, my darlings, is a truly enchanting little town – it's full of cute little independent shops, charming cafes and of course, some fantastic spots to let a Pink Tutu Sparkles do her thing.
You see, Frome is a bit of a hotbed for street performers. Now, I love a good street performance. There’s nothing like seeing the excitement on someone’s face when a pink tutu sparkles into their view! It’s a gift that keeps on giving, believe me. And in Frome, there were literally loads of acts going down. A guy with a juggling act that really took the biscuit. Some musicians were playing something that sounded vaguely familiar… something about “Summer of ’69.” I can’t recall. I was a little preoccupied. And there I was, twirling and sparkling my way into Frome’s heart… and let’s just say the whole place had its eyes on this pink tutu princess!
And then, there were the shops… OH, the shops! We’re talking vintage shops overflowing with sparkling jewels and gorgeous frocks that practically begged me to take them home! Honestly, my loves, you wouldn't believe the beautiful antique lace I found for my next outfit. And Frome's quirky little cafes! One café called “The Curious Cup” practically stole my heart. I just had to order a giant cup of tea with a sprinkle of pink sugar and a giant scone smothered in clotted cream. (Don’t judge, I work it off! All those tutus don’t get to dance themselves.)
Tutu Talk! Now, my loves, I've been thinking. If I can do this, any of you can too. You just have to wear the pink tutu, no matter what! Remember how my tutu adventure started? Way back in Derbyshire when I was studying Science and had the amazing opportunity to try on a pink tutu for charity? Well, I ended up dancing all over the lab and that was it, it was fate! So many people think that it’s so brave to wear pink tutus – but the truth is, wearing a tutu can make the world a better place! You just have to take a little step and try!
After a fantastic day exploring Frome and finding some absolutely divine new vintage gems (look out for the pics!), I went back to my little cabin in the woods – a haven of peace and tranquillity (apart from all my sparkly sequins!). Honestly, darlings, after all the excitement, a good night’s sleep surrounded by twinkly fairy lights was just what I needed to refresh before my next journey. And trust me, this next trip is going to be extra special. You’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for that.
