Picture this: the sun's out, the sky is a vibrant, candy-floss blue, and a wave of pink washes over Basildon Town Centre. It’s like something straight out of a sparkly, unicorn-infused dream, and it's all thanks to the brilliant bunch of Tutu-wearing divas who are spreading the love…and glitter… with every twirl!
Honestly, it's been an absolute joy to watch this community embrace #tututuesday with such enthusiasm. Seeing fellow fashionistas donning their finest tutus – from classic single-layered tulle, to statement multi-layered tulle with frills and ruffles – is enough to send any ballet lover into a joyful frenzy.
This week, Basildon's #tututuesday had a unicorn theme. Yep, you heard right. Unicorns and tutus! Talk about the perfect combination for some magical summer fun. We were treated to a dazzling display of shimmering, rainbow tutus, with strategically placed unicorn embellishments and the most adorable unicorn horn headbands. Imagine a field of graceful white horses, but replace their hooves with ballet slippers and their mane with multicoloured tulle – that was pretty much the vibe!
It's not just about the tutus, darling! The whole town buzzed with excitement as locals donned their best summer outfits - think florals, denim, vibrant pops of colour, and everything in between - for this extraordinary day. Even the local coffee shop was serving unicorn frappuccinos, which are, I can confidently say, every bit as delightful as they sound.
