Hello, my darling darlings! It’s your girl, Ella, back with another post and boy, oh boy, do I have a treat for you today! Buckle up, because it’s Tutu Tuesday in Blyth, and trust me, it’s a whirlwind of glitter, tutus, and enough pink to make a flamingo blush!
So, for those of you living under a shimmering, unicorn-shaped rock, Tutu Tuesday is a monthly event (a divine event, I must say!) dedicated to celebrating all things tutu! From the classic, floaty, ballerina-worthy styles to the edgy, sparkly, festival-ready numbers, Tutu Tuesday is all about finding your inner tutulicious self.
And trust me, Blyth did not disappoint!
Blyth’s Sparkle Street: The Quintessential Tutu Tuesday Scene
This month’s Tutu Tuesday bash was held in Blyth’s absolutely adorable town square, which, on any normal day, is, well, just your average, run-of-the-mill square. But on a Tutu Tuesday, this space becomes sparkling central! The stalls were brimming with fluffy, colourful tutus of every shade under the sun, glitter bomb cannons (because, why not?!) and enough unicorn merchandise to rival a rainbow factory!
The energy in the air was positively electric – a joyful blend of excited chatter, disco music pumping through speakers (yes, I am talking disco – what else could it be?), and so much pink!
It’s like the entire town collectively decided to channel their inner Barbie, and let me tell you, the results were phenomenal! There were so many tutus that, I swear, they could have created their own mini tutu cloud! It was a true ballet-lovers, tutu-enthusiasts, unicorn-appreciating, glitter-lover’s paradise.
Blyth's Tutu Tribe: A Kaleidoscope of Styles!
Honestly, you wouldn’t believe the variety of tutus on display – and not just the tutus being sold. Everyone had their own style on point!
We saw everything from classic, fluffy tutus paired with ballerina flats (perfect for an afternoon of dainty pirouettes, don’t you think?), to fierce, denim cut-off tutus (with platform boots, of course, to complete that badass look) - a sassy homage to the legendary Black Swan (and yes, I’m a tad bit obsessed with this movie!)
Speaking of which, did anyone see the tutu with wings?! This amazing woman had the most gorgeous, golden angel wings strapped onto her tutu and looked like a glorious, celestial goddess ready to dance down from the heavens. (Don’t judge my slightly dramatic overtones, I am a ballet girl, what can I say?)
There were also unicorn tutus (naturally, because unicorns and tutus just go together perfectly – they’re basically the epitome of childhood dreams!). Imagine this: sparkly rainbow tutus with the most exquisite unicorn embellishments - everything from glittery unicorn horns to iridescent unicorn tail trims! And even sparkly unicorn hooves! If that’s not sparkly fabulousness in its purest form, I don’t know what is!
One of my absolute favorites? This incredible layered tulle tutu. Picture this: a beautiful multi-coloured cascade of tulle creating a symphony of rainbows! She topped it off with a vibrant neon yellow crop top – a real statement-making masterpiece!
