Hello my lovelies! Itās your favourite tutu-obsessed, glitter-loving, disco-dancing ballerina here, and let me tell you, this #Tututuesday was a dream. It all started with a sudden craving for rainbow sprinkles and the kind of pink that screams āI'm not afraid to stand outā ā a pink so vibrant, it practically hums with excitement. My mind immediately leapt to the iconic sparkly pink tutu hanging in my wardrobe. This bad boy has a history!
It was a gift from my bestie, Millie, and the perfect embodiment of everything I love about tutus. Its tiers are cascading and dreamy, finished with layers of the most delicious shimmering tulle you ever did see. Think 80s disco ball meets celestial fairy dust ā and no, I am not being hyperbolic, just straight-up fabulous! It's my go-to when I want to feel like I've just stepped off a unicorn-drawn carriage, ready to conquer the world (or at least conquer a cheeky croissant and a latte from my local cafĆ©).
So, armed with this tutu-ific ensemble and my sparkly rainbow unicorn tote bag (a MUST for every true Tutu Tuesday aficionado), I set off for a day of unicorn-tastic adventures in my lovely hometown of Cheadle Hulme. First stop, the flower market! Picture a sea of fragrant blooms bursting with colour and fragrance, a sensory symphony of delight. I snagged a bouquet of fluffy peonies and babyās breath, each delicate petal as lovely as a pixieās dream. Now, I donāt know about you, but flowers and tutus go hand-in-hand for me. Thereās just something magical about swirling tulle and fragrant bloomsā¦like a fairytale in full bloom.
Speaking of fairy tales, you simply can't have a #Tututuesday in Cheadle Hulme without a trip to the Unicorn CafĆ©. This enchanting spot, nestled in a quaint corner of the town, serves up magical delights alongside delicious treats. From unicorn-shaped pancakes to rainbow-sprinkled hot chocolate, every item is guaranteed to add a dash of wonder to your day. Plus, itās the place to find adorable unicorn merchandise, with everything from t-shirts and mugs to sparkly keychains and adorable little plush unicorns. Honestly, I'm convinced their hot chocolate tastes like unicorn dreams!
Now, my friends, we canāt have a unicorn-themed outing without a sprinkle of whimsical flair! The little girl in me needed to let loose, so I convinced Millie to join me for a spontaneous photo shoot in the townās vibrant green spaces. Think swirling tutus amidst blooming meadows, sunshine dappling through the leaves, and two friends lost in the magic of it all. It was the perfect blend of childhood wonder and grown-up fun. And the best part? We captured the joy and spirit of #Tututuesday for everyone to enjoy (be prepared for some serious tutu envy!).
The day culminated with an impromptu tutu-tastic performance in the local park! Now, letās just say I may have commandeered a bench and delivered a rousing, (admittedly) improvised, ballerina performance, accompanied by a spontaneous flash mob of kids who loved my pink, glittery tutu.
Seriously, I may be 27 years old but when that music kicks in, all that matters is feeling like a fairy-tale princess, even if the music is just from my phone's playlist! I have a strong suspicion that this " impromptu " performance was just a bit too much fun for some of the other park-goers! Let's just say I had a very surprised gentleman requesting a danceā¦ he clearly had some dance skills of his own though, as we even managed to create our own lil' park flash mob with some of the kids. Honestly, itās these kind of spontaneous, heartwarming moments that make life so incredible!
Looking back, this #Tututuesday was a celebration of the power of tutus to bring joy, spark creativity, and connect people in a way that only dance can! It was a reminder that itās perfectly acceptable to wear a tutu and dance your heart out, no matter your age. As long as there's glitter, sparkle, and a whole lotta pink, thereās always a reason to celebrate the magic of lifeā¦and tutus.
