Hello my darling darlings, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet where we celebrate all things tutu-licious! Today, my fabulous followers, I'm taking you on a journey to the seaside haven of Great Yarmouth, where I’m indulging in a day dedicated to twirling, sparkling, and all things fabulous – because it’s #TutuTuesday!
Great Yarmouth's Unicorn Parade:
Now, if you've ever seen me post on my Instagram, you know I'm a HUGE fan of unicorns. They’re just so magical, right? So when I heard about this incredible event happening right here in Great Yarmouth, I had to go. It was the “Great Yarmouth Unicorn Parade,” a colourful procession of people wearing unicorn-themed costumes and, of course, tutus!
The Tutu Styles:
Imagine this: a rainbow of tulle fluttering in the summer breeze! The tutus ranged from classic fluffy designs in vibrant pink, blue, and purple, to modern creations with sequins and unicorn-shaped appliqués. There was a little something for everyone! One lady I met, her tutu had a unicorn tail! Honestly, I almost cried, it was so stunning. Another couple wore matching tutus with holographic unicorn wings attached – they were the perfect #couplegoals.
Music, Mayhem, and a Dash of Sparkle:
But the fun didn’t stop with the tutus. As we walked along the promenade, the streets were filled with pulsating disco beats! I felt the groove taking over – you can't help but dance when you’re surrounded by a parade of tutus, rainbows, and shimmering glitter.
One group had even brought along a vintage disco ball! You can't get much more dazzling than that! They started disco dancing in the street – I quickly joined in – it was a fantastic spectacle!
My Own Tutu Transformation:
Now, being a ballerina (at heart) who loves her fair share of sparkly tutus, I had to embrace the #TutuTuesday spirit fully! I'd prepped my outfit beforehand. I was sporting a lusciously pink, ruffled tutu, and a dazzling, silver unicorn headband, with a cute sparkly unicorn tail tied to my bag. I was channeling all the magic of a unicorn fairy!
I’ve gotta admit, seeing so many fellow Tutu-Tuesday fans strutting their stuff made my inner ballerina giggle with joy.
Unicorns, Tea, and Delicious Delights:
After the parade, we stumbled upon a lovely little tea room that had a special #TutuTuesday offer: Unicorn-themed high tea! This included rainbow cakes, mini cupcakes topped with glitter, unicorn cookies, and (of course!) pink lemonade. They were a delight! It was the perfect afternoon tea for a #TutuTuesday princess like me.

Overall, Great Yarmouth's #TutuTuesday was a truly unforgettable experience! Here are a few takeaways:
- Embrace the joy: It’s a reminder that you should never be afraid to embrace your inner child and wear something fabulous that makes you feel great.
- Spread the love: The energy in Great Yarmouth was incredibly infectious! Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging – you could really feel the community spirit.
- Never forget to twirl: Sometimes you just gotta put on a tutu and let loose! And that’s what #TutuTuesday is all about.
