Today, Oxford was a kaleidoscope of pastel pink and shimmering silk as the #unicorntutu trend took over. From the cobbled streets of Jericho to the quaint squares of the city centre, everyone was channelling their inner unicorn princess! The vibe was electric, all sunshine smiles and giddy laughter, and a distinct aroma of lavender and fairy dust – trust me, I know the scent! 🦄
There was a definite “let’s paint the town pink” energy in the air, and trust me, no one went for half measures. Think cascading tiers of pink, blue, and yellow tulle, with a sprinkling of rainbows for good measure. My personal favourite? The shimmering mermaid-esque tutu, which made the wearer look like a celestial creature dipped in moonbeams. 🧜♀️

And that’s without mentioning the sheer quantity of unicorns embroidered on the tulle, the horn-shaped headbands, and the pink hair streaks!
Now, let’s be honest, it wasn’t just about the tutus. The soundtrack to #tututuesday was undeniably disco. Seriously, you couldn’t walk five steps without hearing a Donna Summer song blaring from a phone, a car radio, or a shop. It felt like the soundtrack of my life and was pretty much an essential part of the fabulous tutu mood!
This #tututuesday in Oxford, my darlings, was all about a celebration of colour, joy, and just plain having a good time.
There was something incredibly beautiful about seeing people of all ages, all walks of life, dressed up and having a laugh. It was a reminder that life is too short to be anything but fabulous!
