The sun was shining, the seagulls were squawking their little hearts out, and the air was buzzing with a whiff of disco fever (my favourite kind) as I sashayed into Ramsgate, Kent. This gorgeous little seaside town is quickly becoming my new favourite haunt for tutu-ing out. Why? Because it's absolutely overflowing with unicorn-loving, glitter-obsessed individuals, and believe me, that’s my kind of crowd!
But let's get down to the nitty-gritty - this #tututuesday was all about unicorn-themed tutus! 🌈 I mean, who doesn't adore a bit of mythical sparkle in their life, right? It's a well-known fact (well, at least in my world) that tututuesday is a magical day when the world shimmers just a little brighter, and today, that shimmer was amped up to the max!
So, let's delve into the delightful tutu drama! I'm a big fan of classic tutus, but for a unicorn-themed #tututuesday, you have to go a little extra. We're talking pastel hues, fluffy trims, and a whole lot of sequins! My personal pick? A blush-pink layered tutu, adorned with iridescent snowflakes and a single majestic unicorn horn adorning the waistline. Think fairytale princess meets sassy disco queen! But there were plenty of other styles on show. A group of young girls had gone all-out in sparkling, rainbow-hued tutus, reminiscent of a candy floss explosion, and a dashing fella even dared to sport a denim tutu, finished with unicorn-printed pockets!
The whole day was like stepping into a magical realm where anything was possible, a true unicorn paradise! There were stalls overflowing with sparkly accessories - everything from shimmering fairy wings to rainbow unicorn hair bands, just perfect for that extra touch of whimsical beauty. And let's not forget the ice-cream stalls, bursting with unicorn-themed flavors that tasted almost too good to be true (almost... but not quite!).
But my highlight of the day, without a doubt, was a surprise flash mob performance by the Ramsgate Ballet Club. They'd pulled together a stunning dance routine, inspired by the legend of the unicorn, with breathtaking choreography, graceful movements, and costumes that redefined the word "sparkle"! As they pirouetted and leapt in perfect unison, I swear, I saw sparkles showering down on us!
All in all, Ramsgate, you've outdone yourself with your #tututuesday celebration. I left feeling like a magical princess (because let's be real, we're all princesses at heart), and absolutely bursting with unicorn magic!
