Oh, hello darlings! It’s your girl, Bella, back with another scorching hot take on all things fabulous.
This week, my Instagram feed exploded with the most fabulous photos. Why, you ask? Because it was Tutu Tuesday in the heart of, you guessed it, Slough, the undisputed Queen of the Thames Valley! (Let's face it, we all have our favorite hidden gems in the UK, and mine happens to be this bustling little town).
So what made this Tuesday sparkle even more than usual? Unicorns! That's right, folks, the mythical creatures everyone's obsessed with, took over the local dance studios, parks, and even the town centre, their shimmering manes trailing like ribbons of iridescent rainbows.
Forget about dreary workwear and practical shoes! This Tuesday was all about embracing your inner ballerina and unleashing your fabulousness. It was about twirling in a fluffy tulle masterpiece and letting your glitter fly, all for the love of a magical creature.
Now, before you picture everyone running around like chaotic ponies, imagine a sea of pastel tutus – think shades of candyfloss, baby pink, and dreamy lavender. There were even a few brave souls who rocked the rainbow ombre tutus – seriously, these things are straight out of a unicorn's wardrobe!
And as for the unicorn factor? It wasn't just about donning the majestic horned headdresses. There were unicorn-themed nail art, sparkly unicorn masks, and even custom-made tutu tutus (because, yes, this is a thing!), all featuring holographic glittery fabric and fluffy white unicorn tails!
Here’s why this Tutu Tuesday was simply legendary:
Firstly, it brought out the child in us all, and who doesn’t love a little escapism now and then? It was the ultimate day to escape the mundane and live in a land where you could twirl with glitter and a majestic unicorn horn on your head without a single judgement.
Secondly, it broke down barriers. It was beautiful seeing everyone - from ballet professionals to complete beginners – embracing their love for dance and empowerment in a non-intimidating, welcoming environment. It proved that tutu love doesn't discriminate!
And lastly, it made the day that much more magical. Even though we're all grown up, who doesn’t dream of a little sparkle and whimsy in their lives? Seeing a whole town embraced the unicorn theme in such a fantastic way made the entire experience even more incredible.

But Bella, you ask, what's the best part of this unicorn-themed tutu extravaganza? Well, let's just say a few people actually turned up dressed as actual unicorns... complete with hoof-shaped slippers and unicorn costumes! Talk about commitment, am I right?
Seriously though, if there’s anything this Tutu Tuesday showed us, it’s that even a town as unassuming as Slough can embrace the quirky and the extraordinary.
But hold on, I haven’t finished yet! I'm still thinking about those unicorn-themed costumes, and I have a confession...
I'm seriously tempted to snag one for the next Tutu Tuesday. (Spoiler alert: it's going to be my signature look for every unicorn-themed gathering). And who knows? Maybe even a tutu unicorn costume might just make a grand entrance in Slough? Watch this space!
