Hello darlings! It's your girl, Poppy, back with another fabulous #Tututuesday report, and today, I’m in the gloriously sunny, ever-so-slightly-forgotten town of Sutton in Ashfield! Let's just say, I brought a sprinkle of sparkle to this little gem of a town, and it embraced me with open arms… and lots of "ooh, look at her tutu!".
As a ballet dancer, tutu enthusiast, and frankly, just a lover of all things glittery and girly, it pains me slightly that Tutu Tuesdays have yet to truly catch on in Sutton. This town needs more sparkles! But don’t worry, because today I'm here to share some fab inspiration with you all and show you that, yes, even in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside, #Tututuesday can reign supreme.
It's summer, darling! The sun is shining, the birds are singing (they must be loving my fabulous sequined tutu!), and there’s no better time to embrace your inner princess and twirl in a cloud of tulle.
Now, we all know the classic "The Swan Lake" tutu - graceful, timeless, the ultimate swan-shaped vision in white (though I confess, I do like my tutu in a gloriously sparkly pink!) - but you can't talk about tutus without mentioning the other big player: the fluffy tutu. This glorious puffball of a skirt is perfect for playful pirouettes and brings the disco fever right into your heart. Forget your everyday jeans and trainers, darlings, it’s time for some fabulous frothy fluff!
As a bit of a unicorn devotee, I also had to find a unicorn tutu! For the uninitiated, these aren’t your regular ballerina wear - picture pastel hues, holographic rainbows, sparkling horn embellishments, and a touch of magic (if that’s even possible!). Mine was a beautiful blush pink, with shimmering rainbow scales and a glorious, glitter-covered horn that was a bit of a showstopper!
Speaking of showstoppers, I simply had to rock my latest addition - a fabulous, bright green tutu! Imagine a disco ball thrown into a hurricane, and then a designer magically made a skirt out of the fragments - that’s the green tutu, darlings!
Now, you’re probably wondering where this tutu-tastic adventure took place? Well, my darling readers, let me tell you: Sutton in Ashfield certainly needs more disco balls and more tutus, and we’ve got a real chance to bring the sparkle back. It's not just about the clothes, you know? It's about spreading a little joy, a little confidence, and a lot of magical, twirling energy.
But wait, there’s more! Because Sutton in Ashfield's not just about unicorns, it's about embracing your inner disco queen. Forget your sleek buns and hairsprays, darlings, because I’m loving big, bold, frizzy hair with vibrant rainbow streaks. Imagine if Tinkerbell and Lady Gaga had a lovechild - that's what my hair is channeling! It's bold, it's colorful, it's pure disco, baby!
The streets of Sutton may not be famous for their fabulousness, but thanks to Tutu Tuesday, they are on their way. And with every twirl, every glitter bomb, and every smile we spread, we’re making this town one of the most fabulous spots in the county (no more forgotten corners, baby!). So join me, my darlings, spread your tutu wings, put on your sparkly horn and get ready to strut your stuff!
