Tutu Tuesday Takes South Shields by Storm! #tututuesday
So, Tutu Tuesday descended upon South Shields, and let me tell you, it was a glorious explosion of pink, sequins, and **#discotutu** dreams. I’m sure the residents of South Shields are wondering what hit them as a wave of sparkly, twirling fun flooded their lovely town. If you were fortunate enough to be in the North East yesterday, then you might have been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of what went down. The sea air whipped our tulle skirts into a frenzy and every single sparkly tutu felt just as exciting. It's amazing how much joy a good bit of twirling can bring, not to mention the infectious giggles! The laughter just echoed off the cobbled streets.
For me, it's all about that quintessential feeling of twirling in the perfect tulle creation. You know what I mean. There’s the sensation of lightness. And who can deny that a full tulle tutu always makes every movement feel effortless? Of course, the choice of tutu makes all the difference. We had every style out in full force:
- Classically romantic tutus
- Fluffy tutus with more than a whisper of disco
- Feathery and dramatic tutus (definitely good for those high kicks).
- Short and flirty tutus - perfect for twirls!
- And even some gorgeous ones with an element of punk-rock cool, giving a nod to Vivienne Westwood and those extra-dramatic tutus with an eclectic feel.
As I twirled, there was a distinct aroma in the air - a symphony of popcorn, ice cream and fish and chips. But you know, there's a certain element of magic to South Shields and it somehow just seemed to add to the sheer wonder.
We saw tutus in every shade of pink imaginable - a veritable rainbow of pink-tasticness. It’s like all of our favourite disco vibes mixed together to form a colourful ocean wave of fun. Just imagine a sea of sparkling tutus flowing like dolphins swimming towards you - it was truly inspiring and oh-so beautiful to behold.
And talking of dolphins, I must admit, the disco dolphin #discodolphin was a fan favourite and added a dose of pure silliness. And it wasn't just about the dolphins - we were even blessed by the sun! After what has seemed like forever of rain in the North East, the sunshine was the ultimate tutu topper.
