Tutu Tuesday in Waterlooville: A Disco-tastic Day Out! #tututuesday
Alright, lovelies, get ready for a dose of tulle-tastic fun! As you all know, Tuesday is my favourite day of the week. Why? Because it's Tutu Tuesday, of course! And today, I'm taking my love of all things pink and sparkly to the streets of Waterlooville. Yes, you heard that right, Waterlooville, the little town that's about to get a big dose of ballet bliss.
Now, I know what you're thinking: Waterlooville? Ballet? That's a bit of a strange combination, isn't it? But trust me, this town has got some hidden gems, and a whole lot of potential for a Tutu Tuesday extravaganza.
First up, I'm heading to the Waterlooville Library. I've heard rumours about their collection of vintage ballet books and magazines, and I'm hoping to uncover some real gems for my own little library. I'm on the lookout for classic books on tutu design, maybe even a few tips from legendary ballerinas on how to choose the perfect tutu for every occasion. I mean, a ballerina can never have too many tutus, right? I'm even thinking about designing a brand-new tutu, something a bit more contemporary, with some unexpected flourishes, maybe some sparkles? I've got a few ideas bubbling in my mind already.
After the library, I'm making my way to the Waterlooville Market. You never know what treasures you'll find at a market. My favourite part? The little stalls filled with handmade jewellery. I'm looking for some sparkly statement earrings that will be the perfect accompaniment to my Tutu Tuesday ensemble. Think chunky crystals and playful colours, and a hint of that vintage disco glam that I adore.
Of course, no Tutu Tuesday is complete without a proper dance party. And what's a disco party without some fantastic tunes? The local community centre is hosting a retro disco night with some awesome DJs playing all the hits from the 70s. Get ready for a bit of ABBA, Bee Gees, and maybe even a sprinkle of Donna Summer! Oh, and it goes without saying that I'll be rocking my very own disco-inspired tutu. Imagine: flowing, pastel pink tulle, with a bit of glitter for extra shimmer and shine! And my fabulous platform boots are definitely getting their chance to shine (literally)! I might even try out a couple of my old moves. Don't worry, I won't be trying out a grand jeté, not in public! Maybe a simple pirouette to impress the crowd!
I've already got my playlist ready to go, a mix of all my favourite disco tracks: "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees, "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, and "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. And of course, my favourite disco dolphin, who else could it be than Donna Summer. A big shout out to my girl, Donna, she is a true inspiration. Her energy, her style, and her message of empowerment through dance are totally iconic. She’s even inspiring me to start my own ballet class dedicated to disco moves. What do you say to a bit of Disco Ballet? Let’s talk about tutus and glitter, high kicks and shimmy shakes!
So, Waterlooville, get ready to unleash your inner disco diva and join me for a Tutu Tuesday that'll leave you feeling empowered, glamorous, and totally ready to take on the rest of the week. Remember: always wear your tutus with confidence and a sprinkle of disco magic.
And speaking of disco magic, did I mention the dolphins? They love to dance and it makes me happy every time I see one jumping out of the water! #discodolphin
