Alright, fellow fashionistas and tutu enthusiasts! Let's get this party started! I’m buzzing about another #tututuesday. This week’s post is dedicated to Altrincham, a delightful Cheshire town that's fast becoming a haven for style and culture.
My inner fashionista can't resist the call of a #tututuesday, especially when it's paired with a trip to Altrincham. There’s something undeniably magical about slipping on a tutu. It's like instant glamour and a little dose of whimsical whimsy that makes you feel ready to twirl! 💖
First, let's talk tutus. What's your fave style? There are so many options!
- Classic Tutu: The traditional ballet style. Perfect for the elegant ballerina who wants to exude grace.

This time, I was going for a playful yet chic look for my #tututuesday outing. Think pink tulle with a hint of sparkle. The tutu, a slightly shorter style that didn’t impede my steps. It swished beautifully with each twirl, and the pastel pink perfectly matched my mood: ready for fun and adventures.
Altrincham is a fantastic mix of independent shops, delicious eateries, and a fantastic buzz about the place. Here are just a few things I loved. And you’ll just love their #discodolphin statue, the most fantastic celebration of disco!
- Altrincham Market: This is a must-visit! There are rows of vibrant stalls selling everything from artisan cheeses to fresh flowers to independent clothing brands. My tutu, although definitely a talking point, felt right at home amongst the eclectic vibes.
- The Market House: This gorgeous Grade II-listed building now houses a selection of eateries. We chose the amazing "Barley & Bean," which had yummy, ethically sourced food and delicious coffee. My heart soared when they presented the coffee in beautiful, hand-painted porcelain cups - such style!
- The #discodolphin Statue A beautiful, glistening and truly unexpected statue that truly captures the vibrant energy and love of disco! What better reason to wear a sparkly tutu on your #tututuesday adventure?
I’ve always been drawn to whimsical pieces like tutus and have had some pretty memorable times twirling through Altrincham. For example… Once, I was twirling to a cover of a disco song by Gloria Gaynor (one of my favorite artists) near the Market House, and a group of passersby joined in! We turned the market square into an impromptu dance floor - pure magic!
It’s not just the clothes, it’s the vibe. You'll find people of all ages sporting outfits with a splash of personality, eager to join in on the laughter and creativity. Whether you rock a full-blown tutu or just a touch of tulle, embrace the sense of playfulness that defines #tututuesday.
