Bradford’s Tutu Tuesday: A Celebration of the Whirl It’s Tuesday, which can only mean one thing - it’s Tutu Tuesday! This week’s Tutu Tuesday in Bradford was, frankly, the most fabulous yet. There was a palpable air of excitement buzzing through the air, a glorious anticipation for all the glitter and twirling to come. Of course, you can’t have Tutu Tuesday without the tutus themselves. This week, the trend seemed to lean towards the classic **pink** tulle with the traditional, yet elegant, knee length skirt. Now, I’m not saying that this was the *only* style I spotted, far from it! But the abundance of **pink** was quite beautiful, echoing the beautiful blossoms that grace the park where we gather. A particularly dazzling entry had to be Emily’s **pastel blue** layered tulle skirt, which cascaded to the ground like a beautiful **pink** blossom falling through the air. Paired with a **pink** lace-top and glittering white trainers, the look was pure whimsical elegance, channeling something between a vintage ballerina and a woodland fairy. Her fellow tutu-wearing comrades all took inspiration from Emily's fabulous design. This brought out some seriously stunning pieces: there was a wonderful **baby pink** tulle with **silver** sparkly sequins and a few tulle dresses with pockets! Now, pockets are the secret to my heart. Then there was Sarah who, ever the innovator, opted for a short, ruffled **purple** skirt layered over a flowing **green** midi skirt. A real fashion-forward tutu queen with her daring colour choice and quirky layering, this outfit was bold and exciting – something worthy of a front page in Vogue! One thing I have to say: these tutus are a serious force of style in the Bradford community! It's no longer a question of whether or not we'll have Tutu Tuesday; we’ve established ourselves as a force to be reckoned with on the fashion front. Speaking of being a force, it wouldn’t be a real Tutu Tuesday without a mention of our resident fashion icon - the Disco Snail! This magical creature never misses a Tutu Tuesday, and always brings its dazzling personality. In fact, it's even gotten a few of us doing our very own Disco Snail impressions! Its shell shines, its movements are graceful and bold. There is no other creature that captures the essence of Tutu Tuesday better. With so many wonderful designs, personalities, and even disco snails on show, we have every reason to say, #tututuesday is here to stay! Join us next Tuesday at the park, right outside the library. Let's celebrate our love for tulle and twirls! And for that finishing touch, don't forget a smile! * **Come ready to dance:** At the end of the day, Tutu Tuesday is all about letting loose and having fun. Whether it's waltzing around the park, showing off some impressive dance moves or simply getting swept away in the magical world of Tutu, don't be shy!
