Tutu Tuesday in Weston-super-Mare: A Whirlwind of Sequins and Smiles
Oh, my darlings! What a glorious day for Tutu Tuesday in Weston-super-Mare! The sun was shining, the seagulls were squawking, and the air was buzzing with a joyous energy that only a good dose of sequins and tutus can bring. I was, of course, there to capture all the glitzy goodness for you, my fabulous followers, because when it comes to fashion and fun, this girl's got your back (and tutu)!
Now, let’s talk tutu styles. We saw it all, from the classic romantic pouffe tutus with their voluminous tulle, so effortlessly elegant in pink, of course. To the shorter, sassy, almost mini-skirt tutus, a touch more cheeky and disco-ready, if you will! It was a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues - shimmering golds, emerald greens, and even some playful leopard print that wouldn't have looked out of place on the dance floor! You know how much I love a bold print! I even spotted a disco snail ( yes, a disco snail!) rocking a pink and silver tutu. It was the cutest, silliest thing, and perfectly embodied the fun spirit of #tututuesday.
And let's not forget the fabulous folks! From families with toddlers bouncing around in their mini tutus to a group of senior ladies doing a impromptu dance routine, the joy and exuberance were contagious. You know how much I love spreading that energy and inspiration - I even gave a little impromptu lesson on how to perfect the 'swivel-tutu' move! I was absolutely thrilled to be surrounded by such a positive, fashion-forward community. The energy at #tututuesday was something special!
The atmosphere on Weston-super-Mare promenade was electric! The salty sea air, the playful chatter, and of course, the soundtrack - all those classic disco tunes blasting from the ice cream van (You know me - I always have a soundtrack going, and the beach is no exception!) - it was a sensory experience unlike any other. There's just something about seeing all those twirls and flounces that lifts your spirits. Maybe it's the whimsical charm, the sheer absurdity of it all, the laughter of children dancing along… Whatever it is, it's simply delightful!
One of my personal favorites? This stunning little dancer (she couldn’t have been older than five) in a magnificent shimmering gold tutu. Her confidence! You could see that she was having the time of her life. That's the thing about tutus: they have a magical power. They allow you to be yourself, express yourself, to move, dance, and celebrate all the joy that life has to offer! So, the next time you feel a bit drab or mundane, channel your inner dancer! Pick out a bright color, a sequin-spangled accessory, maybe a little feather boa for good measure…and get out there and twirl!
