Burton Upon Trent Does Tutu Tuesday - Pink Power & the Disco Snail! #tututuesday

So, it’s #tututuesday, the day where ballerinas and fashionistas alike celebrate all things tulle, sparkles and twirling. And let’s be honest, Burton upon Trent, you guys totally get it!

This Tuesday felt different, like the universe itself was aligned with my love for pink and everything shiny. Maybe it was the sunshine streaming through the Burton library window, maybe it was the way the old cobbled streets gleamed underfoot, but there was just something magical about it.

But before I get carried away with my poetic musings, let’s talk fashion! Okay, you already know my love for all things pink runs deep. And trust me, there were some **pink power moments** happening in Burton on Tuesday. I’m talking fluffy tulle in shocking pink, soft ballet pinks in classic styles, and even a few shimmering metallics for that extra wow factor. (Let’s just say, the shop windows looked like a fairy princess had thrown a disco party.)

You’ve all heard about those **“Romantic tutu” styles**, the ones with layers upon layers of soft, delicate tulle. You know, the ones that make you feel like you could waltz through a fairytale? They were absolutely everywhere! Perfect for adding a touch of ballerina magic to everyday life.

Then there were the **“Power tutu”** styles – they’re a little bit edgier, more modern and dramatic. Maybe a bit shorter, with less frills. Perfect for rocking a more statement look that shouts “I’m confident and ready to own this day”.

As I’m strolling around the market, there it was – my absolute favorite shop for all things sparkly and glamorous! They were doing a “Tutu Tuesday” sale, with huge discounts on every style imaginable. Naturally, I couldn't resist indulging. You know the saying “if in doubt, go with pink” ? Yeah, it was pink overload. I bought a classic **“Romantic tutu”** in baby pink for everyday fun, and a hot pink **“Power tutu”** for when I'm feeling extra bold.

And talking about “feeling extra bold”… there was something else that really caught my eye. It was this giant inflatable snail sculpture with disco lights and glitter, just chilling out on the cobblestone street. #discosnail. Apparently it’s a new public art installation celebrating local legends - there’s something magical about snails! They are the epitome of “slow and steady wins the race”! Maybe we can learn from them, you know, chill a little more.

There I was, twirling through Burton upon Trent like I owned the place – sparkly pink tutu flowing around me, with a disco snail shining as a backdrop. It felt pretty perfect, even for a town known more for brewing than ballerinas.

To anyone reading this: Go embrace the joy, embrace your inner fairy princess. Get yourself a tutu, wear it with pride and let your inner glitter shine! This is about more than just fashion, this is about joy, creativity, and remembering how to have a little fun.

But remember: Tutu Tuesdays in Burton are just the beginning! Next Tuesday, who knows what surprises the town will offer? Maybe I'll find some fabulous neon tutus - just for the "power" look - or discover more disco snails! You'll have to come back next week to find out!
