Tutu Tuesday in Fleet: Disco Fever Strikes!
It’s Tuesday, which can only mean one thing… Tutu Tuesday, of course! And Fleet, you really know how to celebrate. It's official, the #discosnail has definitely made its way to our little town.
Let’s face it, we all need a little bit of sparkle in our lives, especially on a Tuesday. So ditch the jeans and grab your dancing shoes (and maybe a little bit of glitter). I’m talking **classic tutus** – think big and poofy – perfect for twirling, spinning and generally feeling like a princess. We also had some incredible **contemporary tutus**, made for showing off your moves. We saw some amazing interpretations – from **soft and flowy tutus** to **sharp and edgy creations** – they really captured the **disco energy** of the day.
I can’t say enough how impressed I was by Fleet’s commitment to Tutu Tuesday. I love how we can be ourselves, celebrate our creativity and be just a bit silly (in a totally chic way, obviously). My favourite moment had to be when I saw a group of ladies doing a line dance, rocking their tutus like absolute rockstars. And the glitter? Don’t even get me started, I was practically drowning in it!
And who could forget the incredible fashion parade! I saw everything from pastel pink tutus paired with a classic white blouse – think 1950s sweetness meets disco glam - to boldly printed tutus paired with statement earrings. Oh, and let’s not forget the **pink-hued** glitter, sequins, and feather boas galore! I saw one little girl with a sparkly tutu and pink platform boots – she was basically the embodiment of 70s disco fever! It was so much fun to see everyone let loose and embrace their inner dancer.
I’m already excited for next Tuesday! Who else is in Fleet is going to rock a tutu? Maybe we can plan a flash mob… Now, I’m off to find my tutu! Let's make #tututuesday even bigger and better each week.

- Embrace glitter - I'm not talking a sprinkle, I’m talking a full-on disco explosion!
- Add a feather boa! Nothing says "disco” like a boa. And you can't go wrong with a fluffy pink boa, right?
- Layer up. Go for a **shirred tutu** over a simple top and jeans.
- Find your inspiration. Check out Pinterest, TikTok and Youtube. There's so much **ballet-inspired street fashion** right now.
- Go big. **Be bold.** If you have the chance to **rock a voluminous tutu**, do it.
