It's safe to say, today is gonna be fab. You see, Tutu Tuesday in Strood is no ordinary day. It's a celebration of everything that is fun, feminine, and fabulous! Every week, Strood gets to twirl in a cloud of glitter and laughter thanks to the delightful ladies behind this movement, and I just had to join in! Tutu Tuesday started as a simple idea, a whimsical way to brighten up the streets. A small group of women, led by the dazzling Diane, thought: "What better way to show our joy for life than by embracing our inner ballerina and sporting our most magnificent tutus?" The idea took flight like a pink feather caught in a hurricane, and suddenly, the streets of Strood were awash in tulle and frills. From the whimsical pouter pigeon tulle to the more modern and daring box pleated tutu, every Tuesday there's a parade of tutus gracing Strood's streets, a stunning tableau of frothy fabric and boundless energy! There's an undeniable air of joyful exuberance in the air, it's almost intoxicating. You just want to burst into a joyful dance, the kind of dance you just can't do at the office on a dreary Monday. Personally, my favourite tutu has to be the classic, one-layer pancake tutu. Its simple elegance allows for so many interpretations!
