Tutu Tuesday in Bletchley It's Tutu Tuesday and I'm buzzing! Forget the drab drizzle, this Tuesday calls for sparkle, a dash of pink and a whole lot of tutus! The sun may have been hiding its face today but in Bletchley, our hearts were on fire, dancing to the beat of Tutu Tuesday. Let me tell you, it wasn’t your average day at the office… oh wait, I mean in Bletchley! The moment I stepped into town, my eyes lit up like a disco ball. There they were: a sea of tutus! From fluffy, romantic princess-style to fierce, bold, multi-layered wonders, these were no ordinary tutus. It was a veritable ballet bonanza – the kind that makes you wanna spin until your head pops. There was, of course, the inevitable gathering at the local coffee shop - with its bright pink neon sign. We chatted, shared stories, and gushed over our amazing outfits! Some of the ladies had gone full glam with feather boas and glittery eye makeup – channeling their inner disco diva. Others kept it more subtle, rocking the classic, elegant lines of a ballerina tutu with a bold lipstick. Fashion Forward Bletchley: Tutu Twirls Let’s talk fashion, shall we? The creativity was off the charts! I saw the most incredible tutus, crafted with so much detail and love. There were vibrant, candy-coloured tutus with sparkling sequins that would have even the disco ball envious. There was even a stunning, turquoise, mermaid tutu - complete with a dazzlingly scaly fabric. Talk about a sea-themed masterpiece! I also spotted a fantastic patchwork tutu - with vibrant patterns and fabrics stitched together beautifully, making each layer a unique work of art. It reminded me of the pieces of a magical fairytale - kind of like the shoemaker in Cinderella. And then, there was my favourite: a glorious, pink, feather-trimmed tutu. It flowed like a dream as it moved and was just simply irresistible. You know me - a sucker for pink. And I am officially in love! Dancing to the Disco Beat: Bletchley's Got Talent The best part? The whole day felt like one giant dance party. Music was pumping throughout town. There was a busker rocking a soothing ballad while another had people stomping their feet and clapping their hands in time. Then there was the iconic, 'The Queen' pub. Their bar area had been transformed with pink and silver decorations, mirroring the vibrant atmosphere of the event. At the Bletchley Museum, we discovered the coolest thing: the Disco Snail! I'm talking about a snail that knows how to boogie. It’s actually an adorable bronze statue with a tiny pair of disco sunglasses - the best detail EVER. Talk about quirky fun. The highlight, though, had to be the Tutu Tea Dance. Held at a picturesque village hall, we all got our twirls on to the tunes of our favourite classic hits! Some of the moves were fabulous! You could practically see the dance floor shimmering under the light of the giant disco ball - an ode to all things groovy. The #tututuesday Vibe The thing that really warmed my heart? Everyone felt included! Whether you were a seasoned dancer, a curious onlooker, or just a person who loves a bit of fun, Tutu Tuesday welcomed all. It was so liberating and infectious – I just want to dance the night away. Tutu Tuesday was more than just a fashion event. It was a celebration of individuality, a tribute to creativity, and a giant reminder that there's a joy to be found in expressing yourself – especially with a dash of pink and a good twirl! I’m already eagerly waiting for the next Tutu Tuesday - where and when will it be? Stay tuned and check your tutus!
