Dover: Tutu Tuesday & The Disco Snail It’s Tuesday, and that can only mean one thing, darlings: **#tututuesday** is upon us! The world’s most magical, most flamboyant, most wonderful day of the week! You know what this means… we’re getting our twirls on! Yes, I’ve gone full-blown **#discotutu** - think glitter, sequins, a little bit of sparkle… I’m a walking, twirling disco ball today! 💃🕺 As a fellow Dover-dweller, and a ballet-mad fashionista (oh, how I adore those perfect little steps!), I couldn't resist documenting this gloriously fun event. And I must say, Dover delivered on this particular Tuesday, because we saw a plethora of tutus - every style you can imagine! I’m talking frothy, billowing Romantic tutus; classic, streamlined, elegant tutus; even a few daringly short, “punk rock” tutu outfits that, dare I say, had a little bit of a *Mean Girls* vibe going on (don’t get me wrong - those were fantastic!). And the **#discosnail**, that fabulous Dover mascot (who knew a snail could be so much fun?!) – oh, she was dressed to the nines, a shimmering silver disco ball of a snail, if ever I did see one. What’s not to love about #tututuesday, you ask? - First of all, it’s simply *fun*. We all need a little bit of playful escapism every now and then, right? I mean, who doesn’t get a little bit giddy putting on a tutu? It’s like the ultimate costume! - #tututuesday is *inclusive*. No matter your size, your age, your fashion sense… there’s a tutu out there for you! There is no shame in this game - every twirl is a perfect twirl. - #tututuesday gives you *the freedom to be yourself*. The joy, the uninhibited expression - there’s something empowering about dancing around in a tutu. Go on, let your inner child shine! I must admit, though, my favorite part of **#tututuesday** was the unexpected twist we got… a little surprise in the middle of Dover town! You see, as the day wore on, this amazing street artist came out and created the most beautiful, mesmerizing chalk drawings on the ground. These artworks became the perfect “stage” for the **#tututuesday** crowd – a vibrant, living, dancing spectacle in the middle of the high street! A *true* representation of the *creative spirit* of this beautiful town. **So, if you’re a Doverite, and haven’t experienced **#tututuesday** yet, what are you waiting for?
