Tutu Tuesday in Frome: A Tutu-tastic Adventure! Okay, you guys, let's be real, every Tuesday should be Tutu Tuesday! But as you all know, the good people of Frome, well, they really get behind this glorious #tututuesday thing. And bless their cotton socks, this week's festivities did not disappoint! The whole town was practically bursting with frills and feathers. I mean, imagine if your local butcher’s was draped in shimmering pink tulle – you know, just your average Tuesday. That's Frome for ya. And guess what? My inner disco queen (which is always just a *little* bit more alive on Tutu Tuesdays) was buzzing with excitement! It's a thing. Let's dive right into the *tutues* shall we? There was a magnificent rainbow of colors out there - from the classic blush pinks to dazzling sapphire blues. We had pouffy ballerinas, fluffy tutus perfect for twirling around in (I can't stress enough, twirling IS essential) and the super short '80s style ones which just screamed 'disco party'! Oh, and I saw some killer tutu outfits too, ya know the kind where the tutu isn't the centrepiece, but actually just part of a *look*. Think a bold tutu with some seriously amazing high-waisted pants – a total fashionista. Honestly, if I wasn't in a tulle dress, I would've been in trouble, let's just say that. Frome's Tutu-tiful Scene: - There was a street stall selling these gorgeous vintage-inspired tutus - you know the ones with that classic white cotton and those adorable little bows on the side. Oh, and they had a gorgeous sequined one that was literally my dream. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to nab it this time - maybe next week? - Another highlight was the fabulous pop-up tutu workshop in the heart of the market. It was filled with tulle in every color, sequins and all kinds of crafty things. People were busy making their own tutus right there! It was like something out of a fairy-tale. - One stall was even doing tutu-themed cupcake decorations! That's right, little tutu-shaped cupcakes. Seriously, where are the healthy eating people when you need them? Not complaining though, because honestly, if something tastes that good, it just has to be healthy, right? Disco Fever and the Disco Snail I can't tell you about Frome's Tutu Tuesday without talking about the disco snail! Okay, so the #discosnail was more of a phenomenon than an actual creature. People kept posting photos on social media with #discosnail which basically meant they were wearing their tutus with a *totally* disco vibe. I'm talking shimmery shirts, platforms, metallic leggings... you name it, it was there. This little fella is basically the spirit animal for #tututuesday - and rightfully so! The music at the market square was disco beats all day long – no complaining here, let’s just say I was moving and grooving. A Tutu-tiful Day! The day in Frome felt like something out of a technicolor dream. The people, the music, the tutus – just *amazing*!
