Oh, my darlings! The weekend is finally here, and guess what? I'm bursting with excitement to tell you all about the most fabulous Tutu Tuesday in Rhyl, a night that took me back to my disco-dancing days in a cloud of pink tulle!
This wasn't just any Tuesday, mind you! It was the kind of evening that makes you twirl in delight, and yes, I donned my own signature sparkly tutu â think shimmering sequins, layered tulle, and a whole lot of pink! It's a little known fact that the pink tutu is an under-appreciated dancewear item, and it really sets off the vibe!
Now, for the low-down on why Rhyl was buzzing with Tutu Tuesday energy! Imagine a quaint coastal town, lit up like a disco ball, filled with ladies (and gents!) of all ages, each adorned with a unique tutu style! From classic, elegant ones with the ever-popular pouter pigeon shape, to flamboyant creations dripping with glitter and feathers! There were even a few fabulous "discotutus" making an appearance, those fabulously fun, and decidedly disco-themed tutes which were bursting with bright colours and sparkles! One could practically hear "Boogie Wonderland" and "Stayin' Alive" playing!
One of my favorite parts was the sheer creativity. Everyone put their heart and soul into their tutus. There were tutus inspired by different dance styles, others with a playful flair, and even a couple of "discosnails", my absolute favourite! I had never heard of it until that night! I found a couple of ladies on Instagram, who, you guessed it! Were totally rocking the snail, which, by the way, was a real snail who had its little body painted in glittery colours, was decorated in cute little pink jewels, and adorned a tiny tutu! You just have to have one, don't you?
Rhylâs Tutu Tuesday was the ultimate fusion of classic ballet grace and disco flair:- Think glittery eye shadow, feather boas, and the coolest pair of dancing shoes!
- Imagine laughter, delicious music and a little shimmy on the dance floor!
- Rhylâs beaches had turned into an outdoor disco ball with shimmering lights that reflected off the sea!
As the evening progressed, I spotted a handful of tutu-clad groups: a gang of giggling young ladies sporting âdiscotutusâ of rainbow tulle with a âglitter bombâ theme! A fabulous bunch of 50 something women were swaying to 70s tunes with their tutus adorned with sequin flowers! Then, there were the âgraceful grandmasâ - my personal favorites - whose pouter pigeon-style tutus, worn with graceful confidence and elegance, exuded the real charm of Rhyl!
Rhyl was on fire! There were dancing tutus galore - they floated like graceful wisps of tulle, swayed to disco beats, sparkled in the beach light! #tututuesday was a massive hit in Rhyl. If you want to know about whatâs hot in tutu trends, this is where you need to be!
Why I loved it?I adored Rhylâs Tutu Tuesday - a truly magical experience where a simple dance garment - the Tutu- became a conversation starter, a source of amusement, a shared symbol of fun and, above all, a reason to embrace our inner sparkle.
I urge everyone to make a plan, find a tutu (or âdiscotutuâ), and be part of a new, spectacular trend. After all, isnât every day a good reason to add a little extra twirl to our lives? And who knows, the trend might soon spread like wildfire! Stay tuned for news of #tututuesday in other coastal towns â you can't miss it - it will be quite a sight!
