York: Tutu Tuesday in the City of Roses Oh my gosh, York! You guys are rocking Tutu Tuesday! The city was bursting with colour and sass as we all embraced the joy of #tututuesday and its sparkly cousin, #discotutu! It was like stepping into a disco ball and then swirling with the pinkest of ballerinas. Now, let's talk tutus. The styles were simply divine! I spotted so many different designs - fluffy, poofy, and some that made me feel like a fancy ballerina on her way to a gala, and some that would have made even a seasoned dancer drool (yes, that’s me!) Here are some of my absolute faves: * **The "I'm Ready to Prance" Tutu**: Fluffy, fabulous, and definitely a look for the stage (or a dance party at the York Minster - if it was allowed). * **The "Disco Snail" Tutu**: Yes, it's true. Someone wore a sparkly tutu adorned with what I swear were sequins that mimicked the shell of a disco snail. Seriously, this look screamed disco and was a total crowd-pleaser! It just solidified York's dedication to #discosnail. I might have to go find some rainbow sequins to make a new version of my own disco snail inspired Tutu! I hope this wasn't a one-off - York needs more disco snails, #discosnail is the future! * **The "Minimalist Magic" Tutu**: It was a minimalist take on the traditional tulle, with a clean and sophisticated look that had an element of mystique. It whispered to me, "Yes, I am stylish, yes, I am fabulous, but no, I am not here to distract with feathers and sparkles! I am elegance itself". This just proves that tutus are for everyone and can be tailored to any personal style. Let’s all be honest though, we were all thinking one thing - if you aren’t already dancing, get dancing in a Tutu - and the streets of York just embraced this sentiment with a dazzling and joyous fervour.
