Tutu Tuesday in Blackburn - A Celebration of Pink & Glitter! It's Tuesday, which can only mean one thing - #Tututuesday, my lovelies! 🩰 And guess what? Blackburn was totally buzzing with tutus today. From the classic to the crazy, tutus were out in force and I was right in the middle of it, ready to soak it all in. I headed straight for the Market Square where I was met with a delightful sight. There was a gaggle of girls, all rocking pink tutus (naturally, pink is my go-to colour, don't you agree?), chatting away like they hadn't seen each other in ages. One even had a disco ball tutu - it was like the sun, radiating sparkle and happiness, oh how I love a little bit of disco! ✨ My lovelies, you really do need to embrace a bit of sparkle in your lives - you can’t just live in a world of beige and brown. Pink is where it’s at and it makes you feel good. This disco trend is huge at the moment, with its glamorous and dazzling look that brings out everyone’s inner sparkle! This was all happening right before my very eyes! I couldn’t resist grabbing a quick snap with the ladies. These amazing, gorgeous souls were up for it, they were a delight to meet. I felt my own inner sparkle begin to bubble and, gosh darn it, my inner dance-loving, fashionista was roaring with joy! After the initial buzz of seeing everyone’s tutus in Market Square, I was ready for my own tutu adventure. The afternoon saw me pop into a little ballet studio - just a quick tutu check and a chat about what made people come to this special day. This shop in Blackburn had a whole wall of tutus. Honestly, the range of colors was impressive. Think: pastel pink, bubblegum pink, and neon pink (because pink just IS)! Even a gorgeous glittery pale pink, that looked like a shimmery night sky with all the stars shining in its magical night sky colour. Honestly, there wasn’t a colour they didn't have, with a variety of styles that made my eyes pop, they really were the talk of the town. I ended up leaving with the cutest mini-tutu - you know, the kind that comes with a headband for the ultimate "ballerina-look"? Perfect for adding that sprinkle of ballerina-style magic into my everyday life. 💖 Speaking of "ballerina magic," have you guys seen the #discoSnail? It's this adorable little snail that's been trending all over the internet and has now found its way to Blackburn's streets. Apparently, this snail is known for its unique style of glittering trails – all things glitter and shimmer, its own kind of unique magic that draws all the little sparkly snails of Blackburn together - you gotta love these snails and their creative take on glitz and glam! The magic was certainly there! It wouldn't be Tutu Tuesday without some dance moves. You know I had to grab my mates and show them a few moves. What’s a disco tutu without a little boogie? After all, the disco trend has become synonymous with the ‘70s, which makes this so current, so totally ‘in’ right now. Imagine those days and how good people looked dancing with so much charisma. Honestly, it really has all the elements. 💃🏻 Speaking of dance moves, what was really wonderful, were all the folks that gathered to dance in Blackburn Town Centre. So many styles from ballet to hip hop! My friends and I definitely added to the street dance-style fun, even a little pirouette here, and some little hops with some funky poses and prance-like steps - all so totally disco! I couldn’t have felt more myself! Of course, no Tutu Tuesday celebration would be complete without capturing these beautiful moments! 📸 Let’s be honest, what's better than dressing up and dancing in your tutu in Blackburn's streets and having a laugh with mates? That is, other than making all the little children's eyes twinkle and giving them an inspirational memory for years to come! 😉. We even found an amazing backdrop – an old Victorian building with a backdrop of trees all green, you know the kind of thing that instantly transported you back to Victorian times (before our time, don’t worry). And the cherry on top? I met some of the most amazing people in Blackburn. Let's just say, this community of fabulous, sassy ladies is full of positivity and creativity, and there was more pink and glitter than I’d ever seen in my life - just a day in the life of my lovely community. I made so many friends in a few hours. You know, the kind that just seem like you’ve known each other forever, because you have similar sparkle-obsessed personalities! 🤩 Oh, Blackburn, you've totally outdone yourself. #Tututuesday was a huge success, even more special because it showed that fashion isn’t just about the clothes you wear, it's a celebration of who you are, of individuality. You can feel free to wear all the glittery outfits, the pink tutus, or your own choice of colours and designs to make the world a more amazing, more sparkling, fabulous place - especially if it means wearing a tutu! 💗 To all the pink-loving, tutu-wearing, dance-loving women out there: keep on shining! #Tututuesday
