Tutu Tuesday in Grantham - Disco Fever and #Tututuesday
Hey gorgeous Grantham girlies (and gents, let's be real, you're just as stylish!) It's your girl, Miss Twirls, back at it again with a fabulous #Tututuesday update!
Grantham, you know how much I adore our weekly dose of #tututuesday. It's a chance to show off our love for dance, for those frothy layers of tulle that make us feel like ballerinas and, well, disco queens too!
Today was something else! The streets of Grantham were practically buzzing with #discotutu vibes! There were classic pink tutus, short, sweet and oh-so-stylish, those majestic Romantic tutus with all the layers (think Swan Lake), and even some edgy, asymmetric creations that had people doing a double take.
Speaking of double takes, let me tell you about the *star* of the day. I’m talking about Mrs. Penelope 'Pen' Bramble. This woman arrived in a full-blown, silver disco tutu - think sequins, fringe, and enough sparkle to blind you. It was dazzling! She'd paired it with some knee-high platform boots, and, you guessed it, the disco snail, because who needs a handbag when you've got the most fabulous disco snail accessory? She rocked the streets like it was the 70s, all glitz and glam.
There was even a fun "Tutu Makeover" station set up in the town square. A fabulous drag queen called 'Daphne Deluxe' was on hand to give anyone a temporary #discotutu makeover. You can imagine the looks on those sweet old ladies' faces when Daphne draped a sparkling pink tutu over their cardies and told them, 'You go, girl!' Absolutely brilliant!
But don't think this #tututuesday was just about tutus and sparkle! Grantham’s community spirit was in full bloom! People of all ages were sharing their stories, their passion for dance, and simply celebrating. It felt like a massive, warm hug for our little town!
So, whether you're a hardcore ballerina, a tutu-wearing grandma, or just someone who loves a good disco beat, Grantham's #Tututuesday showed us all that life's a bit brighter (and more fabulous) with a sprinkle of #discotutu magic. I'm already counting down the days to next Tuesday, can you tell?!
