Tutu Tuesday in Didcot: Disco Fever Hits the Streets #tututuesday

Hey darlings, your favourite tutu-loving blogger is back with another post, and this time we're taking it to the streets of Didcot, the epicentre of our fabulous Tutu Tuesday takeover!

So, I’ve always been a massive fan of pink, all things glittery, and anything disco. So you can imagine how excited I was when I heard about the 'Disco Snail' and its glorious commitment to putting on dazzling events, bringing a taste of Studio 54 to the charming little town of Didcot. What could be more perfect for a Tutu Tuesday than a disco rave? And what a fabulous place to bring my #discotutu!

Didcot was alive with the sound of music (and laughter!), and the air crackled with energy. We were all joined by the dazzling Disco Snail in all its glory, which was an impressive 12ft high, illuminated in every shade imaginable, spinning around like a crazy disco ball on wheels!

Speaking of wheels, did anyone else think those wheels were kind of ‘sparkly’? Maybe that’s just me, but those little glittery things just completed the look perfectly for this sassy snail.

And of course, what’s Tutu Tuesday without tutus?

Here's a quick run-down of the best tutus that graced our Tuesday afternoon:

  • There were the classic tutus, all billowing and beautiful in shades of pink and peach, perfect for swirling on the dance floor.
  • There were those sassy little tutu skirts with glitter galore - just the ticket for an evening of disco-themed fun!
  • For a bit more structure, there was the 'ballerina' style tutus that had an incredible sense of elegance and structure - all about those crisp edges, perfect lines and lots of beautiful tulle.
  • The short tutu style with bright fuschia ribbons was just as glamorous as it was adorable. I think we all agreed the shorter style felt perfect for disco dance moves
  • Then of course, the all-round favourite: the mini tutus that everyone can rock - oh how those adorable tutu shorts brought out our inner disco divas. They were all shades of colour: pink, black, white, even a touch of red. I saw even a teeny-tiny one that looked perfectly delightful on a toddler who really knew how to move.
  • Then there were those incredible ones that came in amazing multi-colours - just as fun to wear as they were to watch!

Let’s face it, Tutu Tuesday and a fabulous snail in Didcot? What a brilliant mix of fashion, community, and pure unadulterated fun!

Here’s to many more #tututuesday's and hopefully, another visit from the fabulous Disco Snail. It's not every day that you get to twirl with a glittering 12 ft disco snail in the middle of Didcot!
