Deal: A Tutu Tale of #Tututuesday Disco Dreams Deal, you guys, it's like the **#Tututuesday** disco dreamscape of my heart! So last week, it was **#Tututuesday**, right? But not just any Tuesday - it was like a **#discotutu** tornado, sweeping through Deal. I knew something special was about to go down. I'd spotted it on Insta, a sneak peek of a group of lovely ladies planning to unleash the tutu-ific in the sunshine at the iconic Deal Pier. I knew it was going to be majorly glam. I mean, a bunch of us gals wearing tutus? It's like a **#discotutu** party on the pier! Why tutus? Why Tuesday? Why DEAL? I don't have all the answers to those big existential questions, but this is what I know: tututuesday** #tututuesday** was born on the back of a group of lovely women in the South East (including me! You can find me in all my #discotutu glory if you have a keen eye) getting together every Tuesday and dancing it out. We love tutus, we love disco, and we love a good time! This is how the hashtag was born. You might know them as The Disco Snail **#discosnail**. My fellow fashionistas have their signature #tututuesday look: * A **"classic tutu"** made of classic layers of tulle - with lots and lots of fluffy pink to get those feel-good vibes flowing * An **"upcycled tutu"** (for that environmentally conscious queen!) - repurposed materials that look chic - for some #discotutu** flair! Think sequins and lace * A **"modern tutu"** (if you’re wanting to take the ‘tutu' thing to the next level): we’re talking bold fabrics and striking prints to really bring on the drama - think neon colors, maybe a bit of velvet, maybe some mesh * A **"vintage tutu"** for some real old school vibes (just as we like it! - vintage with a modern twist!): that retro elegance. And of course, it wouldn’t be a vintage tutu without a bit of a lace up top There was a sense of excitement and playful energy building up the pier on **#tututuesday**, the day we all met to showcase those glorious tutus and channel our inner divas! What's better than a tutu? That's right - NOTHING! What’s even BETTER than a #discotutu on the Deal Pier on #tututuesday ? You’ve guessed it. Lots and lots of #discotutus, of course! A rainbow of tulle swishing and twirling to the beat of disco music played from a mobile speaker - an eclectic playlist including disco anthems like Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees and We Are Family by Sister Sledge. It felt like a movie scene! It was all about that **#tututuesday** spirit - sharing a laugh, striking a pose, and letting the fabulous tutu vibes fill the air, baby! We posed on the Deal Pier and laughed so much. I've never had so much fun being fabulous with a group of like-minded ladies. You see, there's something so liberating about being in a tutu! The sun was shining, we were giggling, we were letting go! The #discotutu magic of Deal was in the air, a joyful explosion of sunshine, music and #discosnail fun. It was such an inspiring thing to be a part of. Even a couple of adorable kids got in on the #tututuesday action, all dressed in their own little tutus. Talk about cute overload! (And, of course, very much welcome in the #discotutu family! ). There's this genuine connection to dance and fun when you slip into a tutu. We got lost in the magic of being girly, confident and expressive in our own special way! #tututuesday It was a pure celebration of self-expression, freedom, and the joy of laughter. This is what makes the **#tututuesday** movement so wonderful, so special - not only about the fabulous dance parties but the camaraderie, a space where you can embrace those silly tutu dreams! (It doesn’t get much more silly and joyful than twirling on a Tuesday with a disco themed tutu.) What else happened? Here are just a few of the memories from our glorious **#tututuesday** tutu-filled afternoon: * We learned some "basic dance moves" - just for laughs (it got pretty hilarious when I tried that pirouette!) and lots of silliness. (What's **#tututuesday** without a bit of silliness?!) * I was caught completely off-guard by my fab tutu-twirling-partner in crime, who, on cue, decided to do a “leap into my arms” to make our disco poses look more dramatic * A few strangers passing by, just stopping to snap a few pictures - some "paparazzi" chasing our tutu-clad magic * We spotted some "cute little dogs" wearing adorable dog tutus * Everyone getting "pictures on the beach" - classic photo opportunities A perfect combination of #discosnail fun and fashion. **Why choose tutus? Why Tuesday? Why DEAL?** It's simple really, babes. Because why not?! We like to make Tuesday nights fabulous, and because this magical town Deal was the perfect place to have a Tutu Tuesday Disco Party. But you know what else? Deal is like the most fantastic little beach town on the south coast! I could spend hours there just people-watching, watching the sunset or taking a swim.
