Hindley Tutu Tuesday: A Dance-Filled Day in Pink
Hey fashionistas! So, let's talk about Tutu Tuesday. It's a thing, right? Because, seriously, why wouldn't it be? For all you lovely people who don't know me, I'm a ballet dancer. I'm a full-time dancer, I write a little on the side, and I *love* fashion. Tutu Tuesday is like my birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's Day rolled into one. I literally live for this day!
And what better place to celebrate it than in the glorious town of Hindley, where the people are so friendly and the tea is delicious.
You know the saying: "Live life in pink"? That's pretty much my motto, and today I saw Hindley go pink too! It was truly a vision. From the moment I stepped into Hindley, my eyes were dancing with delight. Everywhere I looked, I saw people decked out in the most spectacular tutus. I'm talking every kind imaginable: puffy and short, long and sleek, romantic and dreamy.
Hindley’s Top Tutus: * Let's talk about that pink tulle dress! A masterpiece of tulle with frills around the edge, she definitely stood out. * That guy rocking a blue sparkly tutu on the high street – truly unique, with just the right amount of disco flair. You have to hand it to the lads who put fashion first. * But the crown goes to a little girl who had her dad dressed as a disco snail! The dad, bless him, was fully embracing it, carrying a cardboard shell on his back – a complete and utter triumph! You’ve never seen disco snailing until you’ve seen it in Hindley. I must admit, there were a few "I'm not sure about that" moments, too. There's an art to wearing a tutu! Let's just say I had a few internal facepalms at some choices. Let's not discuss the woman in the bright yellow feather boa! It’s good to have some “wild card” moments but feathers, darling! Not in my opinion anyway!
#discosnail My heart was soaring! To celebrate, I’d actually decided to make it a “tutu and tea” afternoon, so naturally I made my way to my fave cafe - the "Belles of Hindley".
I must confess, as a ballet dancer, tea always plays an important role. When I'm not in the studio, I like to live a bit of a princess life! What can I say? It's important to keep my figure! I grabbed a gorgeous afternoon tea with my bestie. Scones with clotted cream - need I say more? After all the excitement of tutu-spotting, it was the perfect way to wind down. You guys, Hindley truly lives up to its title! It was a Tutu Tuesday to remember - a day that confirmed, beyond a doubt, that pink and glitter is just the best combination. Go on! Grab a pink feather boa, slip on a tulle tutu, and have a truly #tututuesday. Don't forget to tell me about it!
Until next time, stay sparkly and never lose your love for dancing,
XOXO, Ellie
