Tutu Tuesday in Westminster: A Day of Twirls and Glitter #tututuesday
Oh my god, you guys! Today was Tutu Tuesday in Westminster, and let me tell you, it was pure magic. Like, seriously, think "Strictly Come Dancing" meets "The Wizard of Oz" with a healthy dose of pink sparkle, and you'll be close. It was basically a festival of tutus. Honestly, I had more fun than a barrel of monkeys - maybe that’s not a good analogy because, you know, monkeys are not typically associated with tutus… but I think you get what I mean!
I was out and about, just strutting my stuff in my fabulous, totally disco-ready tutu - we're talking sequins galore, baby! A classic tulle masterpiece, it was practically radiating that ‘70s vintage vibes with the pink chiffon, but with a modern twist thanks to the glittery, sequinned waistband. I know, right?! Like, where else can you rock a sparkly tutu in broad daylight without getting strange looks? Well, apparently, in Westminster you can!
So, let's talk tutu styles. We had everything from the classic, poofy, ballerina-esque tulle tutus, like you see in those famous ballet shows, to the more playful and contemporary styles - think '80s vibes and lots of bright colors. I saw a few with fabulous feather trims and, you know, who can resist a feather boa and tutu combo? There were also the "mini tutu" styles that looked like you were about to jump onto a dance floor and do a disco routine like it was the best day of your life. Because honestly, if you are wearing a tutu, every day IS the best day of your life.
And you know what else I saw? The disco snail! Yes, you heard right, the disco snail. Apparently, it’s a new social media trend #discosnail, and people were rocking the *cutest* little snail charms on their outfits. Honestly, I felt like I was living in a fairytale with glitter-covered snails! It just felt… sparkly… you know what I mean? The sheer amount of pink sequins on that snail was just incredible, seriously!

- A pink-themed picnic where people were doing impromptu tutus performances to cheesy pop music. It was, like, super entertaining!
- A charity stand that was raising money for some animal rescue thing and it just screamed "fun," you know, like you can do good AND wear a tutu? I literally can't!
- I even bumped into some of my favorite bloggers from Instagram. Like, we were totally living our best tutu lives! It was SO inspiring, like, I’m seriously thinking of starting my own fashion line inspired by Tutu Tuesdays in Westminster… if I'm not too busy making more “sparkly” outfits to rock them in.
