Tutu Tuesday in Nuneaton

Okay, my lovelies, it’s time for another fabulous instalment of my blog and this time, I’m going to Nuneaton! That's right, I’m taking Tutu Tuesday to the streets of this fabulous Midlands town. If you thought a tutu only belonged on a stage, you’d be wrong, and that's just what I’m here to prove. Nuneaton is where my great grandma used to live, you know. My Nan even got married at Nuneaton register office, and if there's one thing she's instilled in me, it's that tutus deserve a wider platform – even if they have to leave the dance studio. First things first, let’s address the elephant in the room – the elephant wearing a tutu. Yes, I'm a ballet dancer. But Tutu Tuesday is about more than just ballet; it's about freedom, about owning your style and defying expectations, whatever your style might be. Even if you haven’t taken a dance class in your life, I say "Let's break out those tutus, ladies!" Before I give you the inside scoop, let's talk tutus – because when it comes to this dance wear essential, there's a tutu for every personality. * **The classic Romantic tutu:** Soft, fluffy and made for twirling. Imagine delicate layers of tulle cascading as you dance; perfect for those days when you’re feeling ultra feminine. This classic tutu screams romance, which is just the ticket if you're meeting that special someone for a date night! * **The dramatic Contemporary tutu:** Think more edgy and less predictable – we’re talking asymmetric cuts, unexpected shapes and colours, or even textured fabrics! These are the tutus for those who dare to break from the norm, and they'll make a statement at any party! * **The playful Ballet tutu:** Think bold colour combinations, frills and fun – this is for when you want to turn heads in a fun, whimsical style! We're talking pinks, purples, yellow, blues; this is the kind of tutu that’ll brighten up your Tuesday and make you feel super joyful, ready to grab a bubblegum smoothie and dance! * **The chic City tutu:** Now, let's talk chic, fashionista-worthy tutus – you can’t tell me that those flowing layered tutus you see on the high street wouldn't look totally amaze with a blazer and heels! It's not just about tutus, girls, it's about embracing the whole package. I’ve seen them paired with denim jackets and trainers, and it looked utterly fab. Let’s make Nuneaton's streets our catwalk, eh? Of course, any mention of a ballet tutu without the iconic "Pink" would be remiss! I mean, come on, it's the perfect combination for any glamorous outing, and let's be honest, you can never go wrong with pink, right? But, the pink doesn't stop at colour; pink adds texture and excitement – there’s a playful side to pink! Think candyfloss hues, shimmering silk, glitter – yes, ladies, even GLITTER – pink can have it all! I, for one, can’t wait to bring some Pink into Nuneaton today. Now, on with our Nuneaton adventure! We'll start off by paying homage to my Nan’s legacy and visit the gorgeous town centre where my great grandma used to work! If I’m lucky, I'll spot a Nuneatonian wearing a pink tutu and, trust me, if I do, we're going to snap the most Instagrammable pic! For my midday escapade, we’re gonna grab a takeaway treat at one of Nuneaton’s famous chippies – who doesn't love a good portion of chips and curry sauce on a Tuesday? A real British treat for a Tutu Tuesday treat! Afterwards, we’re gonna visit a retro arcade (if anyone’s played Pacman or Street Fighter in the 90s, they know how fun this is!), where I’m sure we’ll have an epic, high score dance party in our tutus – you'll be shocked at how amazing the twirling is, my friends! Come evening, we'll catch a vintage record-spinning session at The Queen’s, where I’ll spin around like the fabulous disco snail - a new name for those who know how to get down – yes, the #discosnail knows how to move! You know, after dancing, we all get hungry. So we'll treat ourselves to a classic "disco dinner" – this time, it’ll be a double-stuffed cheese and onion pie at one of Nuneaton’s traditional pubs - the best food ever, in my opinion! But the fun doesn't stop there – oh no, not with me around. We're going to make this day so fabulous even the Queen of Disco herself, the one and only Donna Summer, would raise an eyebrow and clap in admiration! As a final note, to all you fab people reading, no matter your fashion taste, I say embrace Tutu Tuesday, live out your wildest, most extravagant style fantasies, and do something that makes you smile – even if that means twirling through your home wearing a sparkly, tulle masterpiece! You go, girl! I’m signing off with a giant twirl for all of you and the #discosnail! See you next time, for the next instalment of Tutu Tuesday! **P.S** Don't forget to use #tututuesday in all of your pics today, so I can see the joy you're spreading – don’t be shy to tag me too!
