Tutu Tuesday in Chingford!

Ā
You guys know I love a good Tutu Tuesday right? Let's be honest - every day should be tutu day but we'll start with one! Especially since it's been such a drab, grey start to the week, letā€™s add a splash of colour, some attitude, and of course...the #tututuesday vibes. Who better to showcase this weekā€™s tutu fashion inspiration than the glorious, yet tragically under-appreciated, town of Chingford. I mean seriously, you have the best high street shops, independent boutiques, and the best part ā€“ they totally embraced the disco spirit on our walk down Station Road.

Ā
What better way to start Tutu Tuesday than with an incredible brunch, Iā€™m talking avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and unlimited Bellinis?! Chingford didn't disappoint with a * *fabulous* * selection of cafeā€™s, offering everything from sourdough bread, the kind of fluffy cinnamon buns that make you feel like you've landed on cloud nine and letā€™s be real - Iā€™ve had worse (not) than the ones I discovered in Cafe Blanc. If there's anything this girl loves, itā€™s cinnamon! Plus they served me an incredibly smooth pink smoothie. Honestly, they made me feel like a Disco Goddess.

Ā
It was after a very pink smoothie that I got chatting to this group of fabulous older ladies, they just radiated style and energy - and what I think will be my new motto, "I feel fantastic in this!." The lovely ladies explained how important the community spirit of Chingford is ā€“ especially on Tutu Tuesday (you know theyā€™re totally in the know). This community spirit led us to Chingford Market. This was when my * *inner disco diva* * came alive ā€“ Iā€™m talking 70s retro vibe - * *tutti frutti!* * Imagine the * *brightest pink, neon green and rainbow** you could imagine! This was an * *electric* * experience. Honestly I almost wanted to do a spontaneous little dance move but Iā€™d had all the mimosas and my ballerina days are sadly long gone, *sigh*. However the market stall owners made me feel at ease (no tutus harmed in the making of this blog, I swear) so I snagged this totally cute little pink satin pouch from one of the artisan stalls for all my ballet shoes! If you're looking for a way to * *amp up your look* * ā€“ or for * *disco themed homeware* * - chingford market is where it's at!
You know when the sun is shining you get this weird urge to start shopping... that was me on a Chingford high - we *had* to hit the high street and oh, my, Chingford was serving up some serious Tutu Tuesday vibes and not to be outdone by the market stalls it definitely embraced all the **colours** of the * *70s Disco movement.* From an independent boutique called ā€˜The Clothes Horseā€™, they have an incredible vintage section (which of course is my go-to!) where you *could* literally buy * *tutus for every occasion,* including ones so **fluffy** that it's no wonder their websiteā€™s full of pictures of people twirling around.

Ā
What was the icing on the cake? I mean apart from the glorious **sparkly tutu** I found at The Clothes Horse! I ended up talking to the shop owner - such a genuine kind heart - we discussed the joys of fashion, the latest trend (everyone needs a *disco* **ball gown** right?) and even the magic of Tutu Tuesday! In her words it's, "An excuse to *let loose* and **shine!** ". So here we are *let's loosen our inner divas, slip into a * *dazzling tutu* *, and bring out our best selves because Chingford just inspired me to do exactly that, on *Tutu Tuesday* - Iā€™m calling it my **ā€œdisco snailā€** moment, * *slow down and really enjoy this moment.* *. What can I say - you know you love a good disco snail reference right?
