Tutu Tuesday in Wrexham: A Disco Fever Dream in Pink

It’s official: Wrexham has got a new Tutu Tuesday. Yes, you read that right. The place was buzzing last Tuesday night with the infectious, joyful energy that only a good #tututuesday can bring. Forget all the “getting dolled up for Saturday” nonsense, Tuesday is the new Friday. Especially if it’s #tututuesday. As someone who lives, breathes and dances in tutus, it’s been a dream to see this movement really catch on. Tutu Tuesdays, the original concept, have always been about spreading joy, confidence, and yes, even a little bit of fabulousness with your friends – what’s not to love? It’s basically the perfect excuse to twirl around like nobody's watching (and to be honest, everyone secretly wants to join in, so get out there and get twirling!). My girls and I started planning our Wrexham Tutu Tuesday in a private Facebook group that’s now exploded into a pink, glittering disco ball of Tutu-loving, high-kicking joy (seriously, you need to check it out!). We decided to go full #discotutu - imagine a mix of classic “Swan Lake” and your favourite 70s disco era - lots of shimmery fabrics, bold pink (it's my signature colour), and enough sequins to make a disco ball blush. And yes, there was even the Disco Snail - my pet, well... “disco inspired” nail art on my nails that I was showing off. It’s pink glitter, obviously, because I'm all about a good sprinkle of fabulous. The night itself was a whirlwind. Our starting point was the infamous Red Lion pub (they even have a little stage – talk about Tutu-friendly). It’s all about picking the right place to set off from, you know? From there, we twirled (don’t worry, no “toe shoes” necessary) down the streets of Wrexham, making everyone's day a little more sparkling. We were the centre of attention for sure, but everyone we met, young and old, were smiling, waving, and just generally embracing the good vibes – you know you can never have too many good vibes in Wrexham! I even spotted a few tutu-wearing Wrexham-ers. You guys, we are now a community. Let’s hear it for the Tutu Sisters of Wrexham. We got this. And the best part about Tutu Tuesday is not the tutus, although they’re the cherry on top of the cake. The magic comes from seeing everyone having fun and expressing themselves. Whether you rock a full ballet tutu, a whimsical knee-length version or a super-casual sparkly skirt, the important thing is to wear it proudly, with confidence and a massive, genuine smile. Let’s get the Wrexham vibe flowing, #tututuesday is here to stay.
Here's a peek into some of my fave Tutu styles we saw last Tuesday: * **The Classic Swan Lake:** Perfect for making a real statement. Always on-trend! * **The Romantic Ballet:** If you are into a feminine look, this tutu, with its lovely, floaty skirt, is for you! We all agree, it adds a hint of fairy tale to any day (or Tuesday, of course!). * **The Sparkly Mini:** If a mini is your usual look, add some serious sparkle! * **The Knee Length Ballet:** Think “Tutu meets chic dress”. A seriously elegant vibe.
Remember, you don’t need to be a pro dancer to rock a tutu, in fact, that's the whole point. The beauty is that anyone can embrace their inner twirler! So, who's ready to make some Wrexham Tutu Tuesday magic next week? Join me! Let’s fill our days with sparkles, giggles, and the power of a good Tutu Tuesday, Wrexham-style. #tututuesday #discotutu
