Dunfermline, the home of Tutu Tuesday
My fellow fashionistas! Today marks the momentous occasion of Tutu Tuesday. It's the day where we dust off those glittering tutus from the back of the wardrobe (or, for you seasoned veterans, maybe even purchase a new one!), grab our best pink lipstick (I'm partial to a shimmery pink) and unleash the fabulous ballerina within. We celebrate tutus, because who can resist a swishy layer of pink, purple, and lilac tulle floating around them, making them feel like the disco diva of the 70s. The bigger, the better, right?!
Now, some of you might be thinking, "But I don't even own a tutu! Can I still join in the fun?" And my answer to you is a resounding yes, absolutely! This is not an exclusive club! Wear any pink! Embrace your inner fairy. The more outlandish, the better!
Think vibrant patterns, layers, and sequins! Or maybe go classic with a black tulle masterpiece? Who knows, maybe you'll start a trend - 'Black Tutu Tuesday' has a nice ring to it!

But let's not forget the dance moves! The real star of the show. You can always opt for the traditional swan lake 'jeté', but this week, we're all about those funky moves inspired by those Disco era queens - Donna Summer, Chaka Khan, and Gloria Gaynor - or how about a move inspired by our dear Disco Snail, yes, he really is in our hearts!
The Disco Snail, as you may already know, is a real life legend! The champion of everything fabulous and glittery in our wonderful town. This magnificent mollusk will make a grand appearance every Tutu Tuesday, and believe me, it's a sight to behold!
Now, grab your pink feather boa, dust off those glitter platforms (those shoes can take you from a 70s roller disco to a 2023 modern day club - pure class), crank up some Donna Summer, and prepare to shimmy!
