Tutu Tuesday in Letchworth! #tututuesday
It's a gorgeous day here in Letchworth, and you know what that means? Time for **Tutu Tuesday!** ☀️💖 Oh, the joy of dancing through town in my twirly skirt!
So, as you can imagine, my life revolves around ballet. Seriously, I even wear my tutu to the supermarket sometimes! I'm not sure if it's allowed, but I like to spread a bit of sparkly magic wherever I go. 😉
Let me tell you, a Tutu Tuesday is a day for dancing your heart out, feeling like a sparkly fairy, and maybe even doing a pirouette or two while waiting for the bus.
This Tuesday, I decided to go with my vintage-inspired pink tutu, with a generous sprinkling of sequins. Oh, it’s the most fabulous thing you’ve ever seen!
Here’s a little run-down of the top three tutu trends: * **The Romantic Tutu** This is the quintessential ballerina look, with multiple layers of tulle that creates a graceful, flowy shape. Perfect for gliding around like a princess at the ball, though a tad cumbersome when catching the bus in rush hour. * **The Disco Tutu** (see: #discotutu) This is a sassy, bold choice for any girl who wants to make a statement. Think glitter, fringe, and eye-catching colours. It’s totally channeling Studio 54 energy, but don’t expect it to fit in with a country walk in the countryside! * **The Contemporary Tutu** This one’s for the bold and daring. The contemporary tutu takes inspiration from street fashion and can include elements of modern dance or even street dance. Think leather, studs, and bold geometric shapes. For my taste, they're not my thing – not enough tulle!
Tutu Tuesdays are also about embracing our inner sparkle. A good, solid, and flamboyant pirouette in the middle of town is just the way to brighten everyone’s day!
Did I mention my sparkly pink tights?! Honestly, they could almost compete with my Tutu in the fabulous department, although maybe a bit too much sparkle, if there’s such a thing! 😜
And speaking of sparkle, how about our very own Letchworth "Disco Snail"? Did you see that? It was just hanging out by the river in the sunshine, sporting its shimmering shell! Talk about channeling disco! 😎 (Don’t worry, it was just an ordinary garden snail - but, you know, when you’re living in Letchworth, imagination and a dash of disco are what makes life sparkle! ). #discosnail
