Rotherham Rocks Tutu Tuesday
Hello darlings! It's your girl, Chloe, back with another post from the fabulous world of dance and fashion. And let me tell you, things are about to get seriously sparkly!
You know how much I love a good Tutu Tuesday, right? Itās all about celebrating the magical tutu ā the ultimate symbol of dance, femininity, and a whole lot of fun! Itās about getting creative and rocking those twirly delights in all their glory, but you also know that Rotherham isn't always the first place that springs to mind for a tutu-tastic time, so thatās exactly what weāre changing!
It all started with a simple question. "Why canāt Rotherham be a haven for Tutu Tuesdays?". Iād had it, you know, with all those dull, "same-same" Tuesdays. This town needed a dose of colour, glitter, and most importantly, some serious tutu pride!
So I took matters into my own dainty, be-tutued hands, and itās amazing what can be achieved when you grab your inner ballerina and embrace the fabulously, fun side of things! It turned out all those quiet folks around here are secretly tutu lovers. They're just a bit shy and waiting to unleash their inner fabulousness. Itās the hidden gem we never knew we had, darling!
For my #tututuesday I picked a classic Romantic Tutu. These are all about showcasing grace and femininity. The soft, flowing layers give the illusion of weightlessness, perfect for soaring across the stage or for a quick pit stop at the local chip shop. And of course, I couldnāt forget my sparkly pink tights ā pink is the colour of confidence and fun, and they really added some extra dazzle!
Itās not just about the look, though! #Tututuesday is about having the confidence to express yourself, to dance, to twirl, and to have some fun! In a town like Rotherham, a bit of light-hearted joy is what the doctor ordered.
Rotherham Tutu Tuesday went off with a bang, and I'm not just talking about the noise of the disco ball spinning over the local town hall, or the fab beats that had people whipping their hair into a tutu frenzy, though both were brilliant! The town hall burst into life! We had:
* Tutu fashion show. Think 60's Mod-tutus, fluffy Romantic Tutus with a disco-inspired makeover, and the modern-day tutu: the āCunninghams" ā all about bold, sharp lines and attitude! And every single outfit was a shimmering show stopper.
* Tutu-making workshop. It was all hands-on deck with glitter glue, feathers, sequins and everything you could imagine! It was absolute madness and resulted in tutu designs that were more than just āa little bit special.ā
* Tutu dance lessons. If it wasn't all about twirling, we wouldn't be living! Ballet, Charleston and disco dance moves filled the square with joyous flailing limbs, graceful leaps, and serious disco vibes. The energy was electric.
* A glitter station. Because what is a Tutu Tuesday without a good dose of glitter? We sparkled ourselves to our heartsā content, leaving behind a trail of shimmering magic in the town. It's not every day you find yourself covered in glitter and feeling fabulous about it. The energy in Rotherham was unreal, the smiles wide and everyone was caught in the glow of Tutu-love and we couldnāt have wished for a more glorious, colourful and proud event. And best of all, everyone embraced the #LGBTQ+ community's spirit of pride by wearing colours, patterns and sequins in support of the fabulous Rainbow flag. Rotherham was truly in the pink ā the glitteriest, most amazing pink ever, in fact! It turns out, Rotherham was waiting for a reason to be daring. Now, everyone knows Tutu Tuesdays are the best way to break free from the mundane. So, my lovelies, let's keep the tutu magic alive. Grab your tulle and get ready to dance! Remember, in Rotherham (or wherever you happen to be!), every Tuesday is Tutu Tuesday if you want it to be. Itās up to each and every one of us to embrace the sparkle, the beauty, and the freedom that a simple tutu can inspire. Until next time, darlings,
Chloe. #tututuesday #tutupride
