Today's Tutu Tuesday is a tribute to LGBTQ+ pride, because every day is a good day to celebrate who you are and the incredible community that surrounds us. As a proud ballerina and member of the LGBTQ+ family, I firmly believe that we can – and should – wear our hearts and our colours loud and proud! And what better way to express yourself than in a tutu?! Now, I'm talking a *real* tutu – we're not talking your dainty ballerina tutus, though those have their time and place. I'm talking about the tulle that makes a statement. It's the *statement* that matters, y'all. A fluffy, layered explosion of fabulousness! Today's about finding that extra bit of joy. The tulle, the glitter, and most importantly, the freedom!
Think pink, baby pink. The more blush and bubblegum pink the better, it's my personal fav. Think bubble gum pop princess pink, just a tiny hint of disco glitter - maybe that sequin bow is hiding underneath. Maybe some shimmery sparkles. The options are endless and each as beautiful as the next. Don't be shy to add a sprinkle of holographic magic too! I love to use glitter and add embellishments that really help your Tutu to sing out loud. The point of Tutu Tuesday, or any day, is to embrace your individuality. Maybe today's the day to get those sequins shimmering, find a tulle skirt, a vintage frock from your grandmom's attic, throw on your most disco-ready outfit – anything that screams *I AM* with joyful energy, and head out to meet your mates.
