Tutu Tuesday in Whitley Bay: A Day of Twirls, Sparkle, and Pride

Hey fabulous friends! It's me, your girl, Belle, back with another dose of everything fab, with a focus on our beloved tutus! Today, we're stepping into the sun-drenched streets of Whitley Bay, a charming seaside town, and a hidden gem for those who know what's good for them, that's right, a hidden gem of a day celebrating, you guessed it, TUTUS! #tututuesday We're not just twirling on by here, oh no. Today we're channeling that bold, vibrant, unapologetic, glitter-infused energy! It’s a celebration of self-expression, dance, and diversity, which for me always boils down to rainbows, good vibes and most importantly, tutus. It’s an exciting new spin on fashion in this sunny seaside town, and trust me, when I say I love this vibe.

Pink & Poofy and All Things Lovely

There is just something about tutus that is just…joyful! A good twirl can instantly uplift anyone’s spirits. My inner-child comes out when I put one on, it's like all those magical feelings you get on Christmas Eve are somehow magically stored in its layers of tulle. Today's pick, a delightful powder pink, poofy ballerina number with layers of shimmering silk, just adds that extra *something* special to this otherwise dreary old Tuesday. You could say it's an actual mood.

It's A Lifestyle, Honey Whitley Bay embraces inclusivity and the LGBTQ+ community, so Tutu Tuesday was destined to be a glorious riot of colour and positivity. For example, take the fab “Pink Tutu Paradise” event down by the pier. The vibe was so contagious! It was an open air street fair, a celebration of music, dance and fashion with vendors offering a huge variety of tutu styles. So whether your personal style was classic and chic like a ballerina, romantic and flowing, punk and rock, or simply a casual yet vibrant “tutu-with-sneakers”, there was a tutu for every taste. You know that old saying, “A happy heart is a happy body”? That's all I could see around me, from the rainbow banners fluttering in the summer breeze, to groups of friends taking playful tutu-twirling pics. Every step around the festival, whether you’re dancing or just strolling along, was filled with this beautiful mix of love and laughter!

This Is About The Details Speaking of playful and vibrant… have you seen the outfits? Let's just say these Tutu Tuesdays folks were pulling out all the stops and dressing to the nines, honey. For starters, there were sparkly “statement tutu-toppers”, perfect for those who like their glam high impact. A tutu isn't necessarily just a "dance piece," it can be incorporated into everyday fashion. One queen I spotted was even sporting a sparkly rainbow tutu with a hot pink tuxedo and I gotta say, she *owned* that look! There were those going for a more *casual glam* look with tutus in subtle, but eye-catching hues, like lavender or soft grey, matched with chic sneakers, statement jewellery, or maybe a chic white shirt for some contrast. And I personally spotted the *most stunningly vibrant yellow* tutu. Seriously, the perfect summer splash of sunshine and fun! Of course, you couldn’t possibly leave out the music! I’m talking *Disco Fever*! We were flooded with *all the bops* of disco. The soundtrack to a fantastic summer evening? I’m talking soulful Motown, glam-rock riffs and enough sequins to blind you. Seriously. And of course, I’m living for every single photo-op. Who doesn’t love the dramatic shots against the shimmering sea as the sun sets in the evening? You simply cannot beat it!

It's about celebrating yourself, whatever your style But, don’t let me talk your ears off…you really need to experience this yourself! It's simply bursting with joyous energy and that beautiful “feel good” energy! I loved the inclusive vibe where the main message was, ‘wear a tutu and celebrate who you are! ‘ What’s more magical than that?! Tutu Tuesdays in Whitley Bay, you can keep it all. It’s become a day to look forward to and honestly… that’s exactly what we all need, more fun, and a dash of magic in our daily lives, right? #tututuesday #tutupride #whitleybay #community #tutusforall #rainbow
