If you follow me, you know I'm obsessed with all things tutu, but lately, I've been all about the vintage and romantic vibes. Think soft tulle, delicate embellishments, and maybe a little bit of sparkle. This past Tuesday, I hit the streets of Mount Pleasant rocking my new vintage-inspired tutu from The Tutu Shop, a hidden gem in downtown Charleston. I have to say, finding this store was like finding a unicorn! They have everything from classic tutus in every shade of the rainbow to funky, contemporary styles that would make even the most avant-garde dancer swoon. This one? Oh, this one was magic. A cloud of pale pink tulle with the tiniest bit of silver sequined embroidery. I felt like a princess in a fairy tale, minus the dragon, thank goodness. After a little photo shoot, it was time for lunch. Of course, I couldn't go to Mount Pleasant without indulging in the local seafood, and let me tell you, the shrimp and grits were divine! It paired perfectly with my ballerina pink tutu, you know, the kind that would make the most dedicated ballerina swoon. And while I enjoyed every bite of that shrimp and grits, I have to say the real highlight of my day was the local dance studio I stumbled upon on my way back to Charleston. It was one of those places that make you want to bust a move, you know? That infectious energy just pulls you in. And to make things even more exciting, they had an incredible selection of leotards, shoes, and tutus. We’re talking all kinds of tutus, from romantic and vintage to contemporary and edgy. Honestly, I spent an hour in there, just lost in the world of dance. A #tututuesday in Mount Pleasant is definitely something I’ll add to my "favorite things" list, and I know you will, too!
